EPITAPH PRESENTS: EVERY TIME I DIE AND BRING ME THE HORIZON TOUR THIS FALL!

Top rock/metal bands Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon join forces for fall Epitaph tour

July 6, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA - Coming this fall, two of the hottest rock and metal bands in the world, Every Time I Die and Bring Me The Horizon, will converge for the first time, along with support bands? Oh Sleeper and Architects (UK), for the year's most brutal tour, presented by Epitaph Records in partnership with Microsoft® ZUNE Pass®, Live Nation, Alternative Press, Hot Topic, Vans and MySpace.

Buffalo's notorious hardcore-rockers Every Time I Die will tour in support of their aptly named fifth studio album, New Junk Aesthetic, due out Sept. 15. Upon the band's recent debut of "The Marvelous Slut" on the Epitaph Warped Tour Sampler, fans are in frenzy to hear more of the new record, which the band insists is "on the verge of blowing the earth a huge gaping asshole." ETID recently unveiled several other new tracks to unsuspecting crowds across Europe while on tour with Gallows.

"We're all well aware of the fact that when bands play unreleased songs on tour," explains the boisterously comedic frontman Keith Buckley, "there is an unspoken but symbiotic relationship between them and the crowd that the crowd will remain still - judging what they're hearing- while the band works out the kinks and looks for the most appropriate places to jump kick. I assure you that not only have we already perfectly choreographed with a trained professional, you will be unable to stand still at any moment. These demons will not be exorcized."

Speaking of demons, co-headlining the tour is Britain's hottest and most turbulent metal act ?Bring Me The Horizon. Ushering in a new, "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" for Millennials, BMTH are quickly becoming one of the country's hottest young groups. Doubling the size of their crowds with each visit, the Sheffield hellions return to pack venues across the US with the most intense fans in support of their torrential new album Suicide Season, which features snarling cuts like "Diamonds Aren't Forever" and "Chelsea Smile." The upcoming tour marks BMTH's fifth tour of the US and will undoubtedly be their most anticipated yet.

"Were super stoked to be coming back over to the states in September!," remarks drummer Matt Nicholls. "Even more stoked that were coming over to tour with a bunch of amazing bands such as Every Time I Die, Oh Sleeper and our good friends from Brighton, Architects! Hope everyone's just as excited as we are because it's gonna be an awesome tour! See you soon!!"

Ticket pre-sales start July 7 at 12:00 p.m. (local time) via Artist Arena with the option to purchase a ticket and the "Deluxe Edition" of Every Time I Die's New Junk Aesthetic for $12 (https://tixx1.artistarena.com/etid/) and the option to purchase a VIP membership package to Bring Me The Horizon's fan club for $29 in addition to a ticket (https://tixx1.artistarena.com/bringmethehorizon). Live Nation will also conduct a pre-sale beginning July 8 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) with the option to purchase a ticket, "Deluxe Edition" of ETID's New Junk Aesthetic and year subscription to Alternative Press all for $20. Public on sale will begin July 10.

Beginning in August, Epitaph, in conjunction with ZUNE®, Live Nation, Hurley, Hot Top, Vans, Alternative Press and ESP Guitars, will launch a viral tour widget offering exclusive content and daily prizes.

Don't miss this fall's most insane tour!

I second this comment. I am going to try to catch them on the scream the prayer tour and again on this one. I am really stoked about their new CD it should be awesome.

Why would ETID talk shit?

Chiodosbros13

Why would ETID talk shit?

I've seen interviews in which ETID talks shit about either Avenged Sevenfold (for their looks and music) and Chiodos (for their attitude) so judging by the fact that BMTH does fairly generic music, have shit personalities (at least Oli Sykes does as far as I'm concerned), and they care more about how they look than about their music, I'm assuming that ETID will talk shit.

Naw man. Im pretty sure BMTH look just like regular dudes that are in a metal band, much like ETID does. And who are you to judge their personalities? I mean really? I'm not trying to get into anything here, but I dont see any reason for ETID to talk shit.

Yea I feel that way too.. And if the fans were just regular "hardcore" kids and not hella "scene" kids then I bet people here wouldnt have a problem admitting that they like them

Its a weeknight for the Boston date. I wish they were playing at the palladium instead of house of blues, BMTH has been around a few times so far and ive wanted to see them for a while but my plans have always fallen through.
Ill definately go for Every Time I Die.
Not so sure about Oh Sleeper.
Saw a few songs of Architects when i went to warped, and they put on a good live show.
This tour looks pretty decent, ill have to try and get up there.

bring me the horizon and the jonas brothers probably shouldnt be in there.
Id say that bring me the horizon and the jonas brothers have definately sold out, but for you to just throw them in an unintelligable list with no reason for them being on your shit list is just ignorant.
I can just as easily make a list of the worst bands ever and throw all your favorite bands in there. Even though its not true, it can be done. So dont make a "Shit band" list without a good reason behind each one.

Hmmm..

I was pissed that they only played Pray for Plagues off the old album....all the rest were off the new album.

They have to stop playing Suicide Season, the song, because it's too long and boring for a live show.

Otherwise they played most off the new album, yeah.

Well, I'm glad they played Pray for Plagues but that's lame they didn't play anything else from the old album. I think I'm really only looking forward to hearing that and Diamonds Aren't Forever live. That just seems like it'll be fun. Haha.

But yes, SO stoked for Every Time I Die and Oh, Sleeper.

Honestly, for me to like Bring Me The Horizon again, I'd need them to play mostly songs from Count Your Blessings. The songs sound so much better live, and they're just better songs.

So glad ETID played Floater. That song is always great live. Although it's kinda sad, cause at Take Action they played more songs than just 13 I think. I wonder if they'll add more new songs after the record releases.

I really wish I could go to the Tampa date of this.

i wouldn't expect them to play anything off of burial plot or last night in town. they really don't mix up the songs that they play off of hot damn or gutter too much either. the last few times i've seen ETID they've played apocalypse now and then, kill the music, bored stiff, and the new black off of gutter. i'm surprised they're only playing 3 songs off the big dirty. maybe they'll switch pigs is pigs and imitation in and out of their sets, it seems like they play those quite a bit.

I'm not a fan of BMTH but they open for a lot of bands I like and I have noticed a trend. They seem to play the same set list every time they open for a band. I'm not 100% positive on that, but I feel like I have seen the same set more than once.

Went to the show last night in San Diego, i have to say I am extremely disappointed in BMTH.

In my opinion the best band of the night was Architects, they were really good, last night was the first time I've ever heard of them..

Oh sleeper was below average, the only song I know from them was Vices like Vipers and they closed with that..that was the only song the crowd really got into, the rest was meh, i wasn't diggin it too much..

Bring me the horizon.. where to start, hmm.. This was my third time seeing BMTH and by far the worse, they only played one song off Count Your Blessings!! I personally thought the new album was crap, except for 2-3 songs which were okay, but their whole setlist was based off the new album almost... Not to mention Oli Sykes, who was barely screaming at all, he made the crowd sing half of his songs.. nonetheless most of the crowd was still digging the set, probably only cause they want oli's babies or some shit.. I probably won't be seeing them next time they come because they keep playing with shit setlists =| , their first album was the best

They played Chelsea Smile, Pray for Plagues, The Comedown, Diamonds aren't forever, football season is over, suicide season, the sadness will never end, no need for introductions.. , might be missing 1 (doubt it), but that was basically it, only 1 song from the old album..very disappointed with the setlist..

Around half of the people left before Every Time I Die played, unfortunately they all missed out.. They were pretty good..

For me the greatness of Oh, Sleeper is in their lyrics. When I listened to Oh, Sleeper at first I wasn't impressed. But then I started learning the lyrics and it just really changed it for me. I don't know, maybe that's odd, but that's how it was for me.

Architects played the following tonight in Las Vegas on 9.20:

Numbers Count For Nothing
Every Last Breathe
Borrowed Time
We're All Alone
In Elegance
Follow The Water
Early Grave

not 100% on the order but they played those seven and it was beautiful :) BMTH officially lost it in my book; you're going to see what happened at the Vegas show tonight in the next few days; it was ridiculous; Oli got REALLY pissed off on stage and it was hilarious; they fucked up his mics big time; what a prick he is;

Oh Sleeper did amazing and Every Time I Die was phenominal;

That was so awesome of etid to do that. ive been to alot of concerts and that was the best time ive had. i was so sad so many people left after bmth. im a fan of them but they didnt thrill me. just a generic show. and the stupid 15 year old scene girls there or oli were ridiculous. that ruined there set for me.

7. Suicide Season
8. Diamonds Are'nt Forever
9. Football Season is Over

and i was actually very disapointed in bmth. one measly song off the old album? C'mon. i was expecting Braille. apparantly BMTH is too self absorbed to see fans want to hear older music. i wonder if they notice most of the only "fans" they have are 15 year old emo chicks who only know 2 parts to each NEW song. so pathetic. i used to be a big fan but tonight i lost a lot of respect i had for them.

to me it looked like bmth is trying to show up ETID. half the people cleared out after BMTH and it was sad. they should have stayed, it was one hell of a party! ROCK ON ETID FOREVER!!!!

so my friend told me a month ago that if i would give him, his g/f, and his other friend a ride to the show, he'd pay for my ticket. obviously i was totally okay with that.

i just texted him to make sure he'd be ready after i get off work to pick them up at his place, and he tells me:

last night we had a party so i hid the tickets so they wouldn't get stolen/thrown away/ruined/etc... and now i can't find them.

WTF?!?!?!?!!

bard

also, i told him to just call house of blues and see if there is a list of people who bought tickets online and if he can just verify at the club with his ID for 4 tickets, and he said he paid cash at a ticketmaster in a mall, and they just gave him tickets and there wasn't any name/information exchanged.

i'm getting depressed/angry.

all their songs are just 3-4 minute breakdowns. no talent really.

i respectfully disagree.
you may not like bring me the horizon, i admit they are a bunch of selfish assholes. ive met oli before, and he is nothing but a self absorbed cunt. but i wont lie the, those douchebags are good at playing their instruments. they may not have played the songs you wanted to hear, but you cant say that their music takes "no talent". It may lack in originality, yes; but to say it is talentless is taking it to an unnessesary level.

I agree to a degree that Suicide Season has better lyrics in some songs, but then there are the terrible lyrics that just make me forget about the good ones. For example, the one about "drinking till we're dead." Really? Diamonds Aren't Forever is up the same alley but I have to admit, that is going to be a fun song to see live and sing.

Yeah. I was stoked to see BMTH at this show a few months ago, but now that I've heard they're only playing one song from CYB, I could care less about their set. Sicne your criticizing that song, like alotta people usually do Do you know the meaning behind it? I love party rock songs thats why i listen to Deez Nutz, but I didnt think this song fit with Suicide Season when I listened to it..But I soon found out. The title "Football Season is Over" was the title of the suicide letter by Hunter S. Thompson...The author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. If you think of it that way, his book was about a trip he had where he tryed damn near every drug. He spent alot of time getting high and drinking nad eventually took his life by shooting himself in his home. I thought I read somewhere that the quote "Party till you pass out drink till your dead" was from one of Syked friends who also killed himself. I could be wrong

"It was written in blood" was a quote from a russian poet who in fact wrote the letter in his own blood.
"The Saddness Will Never End" were Vincent Van Goghs last words as well.

As for Diamonds Arent Forever.. I found meaning in it.. I do not know if it is right5 but I found my own meaning. I would really like to hear the true meaning though

And to the other person who quoted me saying how "it takes more creativity", I wasnt saying it does not take more creativity and that they ripped off other stuff.. Funny that you mentioned half the people left before Thursday, cause the same thing happened before ETID got on stage, haha.

That happened as well last night (in Baltimore). I was REALLY pissed because, as BMTH came on stage, there was a fine amount of shrill shrieking (like one would hear for some current pop-rock acts *sigh*). I'm almost 21 years old, and I feel like I shouldn't even be going to concerts anymore, because I'm starting to feel really awkward -- no genre is safe anymore :( I'm 5' 6", and there were girls that came up to my boobs as far as height was concerned, trying to order drinks at the bar. And there was far more neon than I would have hoped for.

Does anyone remember AGATG's "This Is Our Foil Shirt' shirt? Just reminded me of it.

But I really enjoyed BMTH's set -- was anyone else here at the Baltimore show? I was standing in the back of the room throughout the whole show, and during "No Need for Introductions ..." two dudes -- one older guy in his 40s with a horrible rat tail, and another with 5 foot-long, green-tipped spikes (battle of the hair?) got into it big time, and I almost thought BMTH was going to stop their set. They actually paused long enough in the song to let these guys finish showing their dicks or what have you, didn't say a word, then finished the last line of the song. Ended up being brilliant, but I was a bit angry for a while.

Talked with Josh (ETID) after their show on Thursday at The Norva. He was pretty much mocking BMTH the whole time and I was appropriately wearing my STOP LISTENING TO AWFUL FUCKING MUSIC shirt which he loved. I believe he referred to them as "fucking retards" hahahaha

ETID killed it though. It was my 3rd time seeing them and they completely blew me away. Jordan did a ridiculous front flip with his guitar into the crowd. I'm surprised he didn't kill anyone haha.

Oh Sleeper setlist?

eddie effin g
10/04/09, 02:57 PM
Saw this show last night at The Electric Factory in Philly.

Oh, Sleeper was OK. Wasn't a fan before, still not a fan, whatever.

Architects played a decent set and had the crowd moving. The place was a little passive at the beginning of the set, but by the end the place was going wild.

Then BMTH came out. They didn't close with Suicide Season, but instead with Football Season. Same set list though that had been posted here. I was amped — I've listened to these guys pre-Count Your Blessings.

Now hear me rant.

Now, from what I've read here and have heard about from firsthand accounts, I was expecting a scene/ emo turnout for BMTH. But holy fuck. The place was swamped with 14 year olds. The little scene bastards were in the bathrooms making out, they complained about getting shoved out of the way for a pit. I felt like I was in the eighth grade again. And BMTH was about as Hollywood as it gets. Their set included a big lit up B M T H letters piece behind them. I go to shows to get away from all that glam bullshit.

When BMTH took the stage, it sounded like a fucking pop concert — a bunch of little girls screaming for their favorite band. Literally, little girls. When we left the venue, we were sitting on the curb and a 12-year-old girl, yes, 12 years old, almost got hit by a car as she ran across the road to get Ollie's autograph. 12 years old. The same Ollie that pisses on women. Her grandparents must be proud of her parents. Then, on that same curb, we watched a motorcade of parents pick their tweens up from the show. What a joke. I still love BMTH's music, but I will never go see them again. It wasn't a show, it was a fucking pop concert.

Once that madness ended, ETID took the stage. If you plan on leaving a future show after BMTH finishes, don't; I am not a fan of ETID, but those guys put on a damn good show. The scenesters had all left and floor opened up finally. It was a blast.

In the end, it was an OK show. I guess I should have listened to more posts and warnings here about the crowd BMTH brings out. ETID and Architects are worth the admission price. Really, just hang in there until the BMTH kiddie carnival ends and you'll enjoy yourself.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. I think BMTH made awesome music. I very much like the live show they put on, also. I didn't see any bright lights behind them spelling BMTH, but, yes, I was somewhat upset that there were so many 12 - 16 y/o fangirls there. went to this twice over the weekend in Norfolk and Baltimore, was so much fun, but there was a drastic difference between the 2 shows

cIn norfolk the venue was huge, security were assholes, you couldn't do anything. I crowdsurfed once during floater and thought it was no big deal then they dragged me to the exit where i had to convince them to let me stay. The kids there were pretty lame, it was nearly sold out for bring me the horizon but a bunch of people left before ETID, which just blows my mind, but it was kinda good, there was more room to move around and it made the show a little more enjoyable. But as you would expect ETID played amazing, definitely the best live act in metalcore around. BMTH sucked, they just sound so bad live, I used to somewhat like their recordings but live they don't sound nearly as good, plus they overhype themselves by waiting 3 minutes before every breakdown, I hate it when bands do that. Architects were good but I was pretty dissapointed by them to be honest. I saw them last year when they toured the US (before the new album came out) and they were really awesome, I love their other CDs. I like their new CD too, a couple of songs are awesome, but they only played new stuff so I wasn't really familiar with their stuff and overall the new cd seems like more of the same generic metalcore. That being said its awesome they are getting such a good turnout and having this type of exposure, i think they are gaining a lot of fans. (I probably would have liked them a lot more if I had never listened to them or seen them before).

So overall Norfolk was awesome, but parts of it were dissapointing, then I went to Baltimore and that show was insane. the venue was way smaller, it was pretty much sold out, and not nearly as many people left after BMTH, everyone seemed like they were there for ETID. Security is awesome there, people could crowdsurf and stuff without getting kicked out, i had so much fun, the new songs sound so good, at one point I was on top of the crowd for over a minute just singing along with Kieth, definitely a fun moment. Then during We'rewolf Jordan motioned for people to get on stage and immediately I jumped up and started getting other people on stage, by the end of the song the stage was packed side to side, everyone singing along and dancing, so awesome.
I can't wait for their next tour, hopefully it will have better bands on it. I also hope to see some more new songs live, I thought their set was a perfect mis of old and new, they played all their hit songs like usual (though I was hoping for Off Broadway).

Anyway don't pass up seeing this band even if the lineup is terrible, they make it worth your time.

The set list is the same as the one posted earlier, but here it is again:
Roman Holiday
Marvelous Slut
Ebolorama
Bored Stiff
No Son Of Mine
Cities and Years
Floater
Wanderlust
Kill The Music
Apocalypse Now and Then
For The Record
I've Been Gone a Long Time
The New Black
We'rewolf

Yeah, The NorVA security are assholes. Seriously, after the show I ran up to one of the security guys because I saw he had a setlist and I didn't know if he was keeping it or handing it out or what, so I ran up and asked if he wanted that or what, and he told me, "Get the fuck off of me." I don't know why he was like that considering I didn't touch him and I just asked him a question, but whatever.

I completely disagree about BMTH, though. I thought they sounded great live. And I didn't get the feeling that they thought they were the shit or anything. I think it was pretty sweet how they stopped before the breakdowns. It's not like they did it a lot. They did it once, maybe twice. And they only stopped to make a wall of death. I thought Oli was a good frontman despite all the crap talked about him. Sure, he may have had his fits or whatever, but he was good that night at least. I don't get the whole pop-starish hype that surrounds them, and I don't like their lyrics at all, but they play sweet music and are great live.

Yeah, that sucks, Im definitely trying to avoid going to that place for shows, it just isn't as much fun, plus its fucking Every time i die, their shows are suppose to be nuts.

As for BMTH, we can agree to disagree, I thought they sounded really unclear at parts (most noticeably during prey for plagues). I thought they were definitely playing off their hype from the 14 year old scene girls, correct me if im wrong but did they even thank ETID on stage at all? And I don't mind when bands build a little anticipation for a breakdown, but they stopped playing completely for at least 30seconds to a minute if not longer, when that happens I completely forget what part of the song they are on. ETID is way better at that, watching floater or ive been gone a long time, they manage the ends of those songs perfectly. Really i was just annoyed by the overreaction of 14 year old girl screams whenever he made a move, I'll admit thats not really his fault but the band definitely encourages it.
I'll agree they weren't terrible, but overall i just have moved on from that genre of music and that band just somewhat sickens me when i see them, it really shows how different the times are from now and seeing etid a couple years ago.

if you think BMTH are bad with that, go look at parkway drive's live album. seriously, during ( it may be dead man's chest) they stop the song at least 3 TIMES to set up walls of deaths and giant pits. its ridiculous

There was no thanks in Chicago, but then again ETID was shit talking BMTH... I wouldnt thank them either. Its not the bands all the time... Usually its the tour manager and whatever they book. They do play off that hype.. I think there good live, but there not what some expect.. I saw them at Warped and thats how I first heard of them when I was waiting for another band... So I knew what to expect when I saw them live again. One thing that kills it for people is after doing so many shows it seems Oli trys to save his voice and you cant blame him, BUT he usually just hiops around and holds the mic down for parts... says a few words, holds mic to the crowd and repeat. he doesnt sing like every word such as bands like Underoath and TDWP

Oh, I will agree hands down ETID was better. ETID was insanely better. They were freaking amazing. Floater was incredible.

Yeah, I see what you're saying about BMTH. The pop-star love they get is a little weird but oh well.

I will admit that Oh, Sleeper aren't really original, although their first album was more so than the second. But I'd never say they are terrible. They do what they do well, even if it is something that has already been done. And I think lyrically they are amazing. If it wasn't for the great lyrics I can't say that I'd be a fan.

i used to totally love BMTH, count your blessings is an amazing album.

then they release SS, and i'm like alright, not that good.

but the fact that they only play ONE song from CYB, and CYB is probably the reason they have 99% of their fans, and their only fans now are little girls who put up with Suicide Season because they like oli so much.

they are seriously just wasted potential, who could be an AMAZING deathcore band, but want to sell out, be scene, and make albums that nobody wants to hear.

*i do like some songs off SS, namely chelsea, the comedown, sadness, and then diamonds. diamonds is an amazing song that is definitely on par with CYB, but it's kind of like a slap in the face, just taunting that they COULD be making amazing music, but want to sell out instead.

I came to the show in montreal.
It was really awesome, Oh, sleeper wasn't here, so architects played more time.
I was really surprise by the crowd, for a "deathcore" music i imagined a really violent moshpit and all that, but no there just a lot of fucking hardcoredancer and some liiiiitle moshpit, the crowd was better with Etid when all the scene kids left.
And i found the show very short, a 10:00pm it's end, but i was a really cool show.
