That's a terrible trade for Golden State player wise, but I dunno how it would work out salary wise. lol

i love sloan and the jazz a lot, and that trade would fill some important spots on that roster. i like this trade for them. i never liked Boozer though, but he could do well in LA. Warriors i don't think are going to get any better with mihm or george. i mean that trade's okay, but it seems like they're breaking even at best.

To my knowledge that was a rumor on ESPN that was quashed. Not to mention the fact that that may be the worst trade ever from the Warriors part. There is absolutely no benefit to that whatsoever for the Warriors. It's not like they are even expiring contracts, besides George, but he's worth nothing. Even Isiah wouldn't take that trade if he was the GM of the Warriors.

I know...I was in denial then. The only trade he wouldn't do would be the one that makes sense for his team.

what?? why do the warriors want to do this
nba trades are not about production, they are about money.

Haha, I know. What I meant is that Isiah does trades thinking he'll get production(Marbury, Rose, Crawford, Davis, Thomas, and now Francis were all the better player in the trades), not money. Too bad he doesn't get the production either.

According to the Trade Evaluator on ESPN, the trade doesn't even work money wise. Plus I don't understand the point for GS, because it really doesn't give them very much cap relief. I guess it gets them out from under Derek Fisher's bad contract, but at the same time, Troy Murphy and Fisher himself are not the problem for that team. I don't know, maybe it's to get Diogu more minutes. Strange trade, money wise and just all around for GS.

The problem is he gets production at the guard position. Francis, Rose, Marbury and Crawford are all the best players there, and they all play the one or the two, and calling them ones is ridiculous. What do you need four fake ones for on a team? They could go Villanova and start all four, that would be hilarious. But it just does not work for their Coach, it makes no sense at all. They have no rhyme or reason to their team, although i read today that they are planning on attempting to package a lot of their people together in the Summer for KG. Good luck with that Isiah.

Honestly, they should have just traded Diogu and Pietrus for Artest. It would have been best case for them really. Starting lineup of Davis, Richardson, Artest, Murphy and Foyle would honestly get them in, with a bench featuring Fisher and Dunleavy. Why the hell not? That gets them the 8 seed and a possible future. By the time Diogu and Pietrus really develop it will be inconsequential. Plus, those are plus positions for them anyways, why keep them? The funny thing is, people talk about them dominating that trade with Baron, but realistically, they could have kept the combo of Claxton/Fisher and the cap relief of Davis may have been more valuable for them. Without Davis, they'd be having more efficient point guard play that doesn't dribble out the clock for them, makes more than 39% of their shots and arguably would be a better team overall. Baron is a great individual performer, but he's been a nuclear bomb on that team this year.
