Yeah, I can see that. Again, I've never dated a girl of my own race. It's not because I've got anything against black girls, it's just that I've never met a black girl who has the qualities that I look for in a girlfriend. My parents don't take my relationships too seriously, so they don't really react positively or negatively. I assume if I were a few years older they would make more of an effort to care and get to know the guy, etc.

I'm hoping they'll care more when I'm older. My relationships aren't too serious now anyway, so it makes sense that they don't take it too seriously.

I mean with me and one of my ex's we probably would have gotten weird stares no matter what the color of his or my skin was, but still sometimes we got the looks that made us uncomfortable, yet my friend (who's white) and her boyfriend (who's black) never really got any looks while the four of us were out together.

i think you're still misinterpreting what i was saying. since minority groups are still afflicted by separatism in this day and age, and in a lot of cases hold a separatist attitude themselves, they tend to hang together, and because of this the typical interests of these minority groups are compartmentalized. the races of this nation are so cliquey and because of that they do share interests. what i was saying, is that i am not part of those cliques, because i wasnt raised in a predominantly minoirty community, so therefore it is hard to find minorities with the same interests as i have, because i dont belong to typical minoirty culture.

yeah, you're right, it is a little assumptive of me to place the blame on the community; each person is an individual and has the potential to branch out. i can tell you that if i were to meet a black girl who connected with my personality in that way, i would absolutely go for it, its just not at all a common find in my experience. but at the same time, i dont artificially try to involve myself with other minoirties just because i feel obligated to date someone with a similar color to mine; thats just as bad if the interracial relationship is what naturally develops. anyway, im mixed with so many different races that no matter who i date, it's an interracial relationship, so i really dont worry about it too much.

my brother had a party on the 4th at his house on the lake. and everyone was so wasted, almost everybody is still there partying, i brought a bunch of people home though (because he lives way out of town) and two of the guys lived on the army base, so we got to the gate and they got out and one threw up right there in front of some cops, and because him and the other guy were both only 20, they got arrested haha.

So true, I grew up in a black community. Whole family was into hiphop and I gravitated towards it. As I got older I found rock and realized it was better for me. Whole style changed over the years. Still hang with most of the same friends I just stand out a lot more. Their all cool with it though. Accepted me for who I really am.

Yea, I don't think all the looks my girl and I get are bad, just some people who are curious I suppose. Definitely a dating combination that you don't really see in the media or the public. That and I would say white men and black women tend to be least open to interracial dating as compared to most other groups. Bllack women seem to be more focused on keeping it in the black community, or are turned off by the idea because a lot of black men pursue white or light skinned women and they feel kind of bitter. me and my ex got the same kind of looks, but we were bound to draw attention to ourselves. There was more than a foot of height difference between us, he was tall and skinny with longish curly red hair and his eyebrow pierced a couple of times and a couple of tattoos. And then I'm short and I kind of have a baby face still, and super girly so dresses and heels...that kind of thing is going to attract attention no matter what most of the time. But yeah it really isnt in the media, like when a tv show character is dating a black woman, they kind of make a big deal out of it. I guess it depends on where you live though. I never thought like it was that big of a deal, but it isnt too common.

The problem was we were in middle school and I was opposed to all drugs/alcohol at the time thanks to the DARE program haha

Since I'm in college now I really wouldn't have cared since I actively participate in those "deviant behaviors" haha

I just graduated, and so now I'm taking a gap year do work and do more acting.

But then I am bailing the hell out, Montana is beautiful and all, but it's never felt like home.
