ok, now i know that all of the anti-drug people are going to be arguing that it shouldnt even get to this point, but think about it before judging.
so i'm a college student, i and many of my friends smoke pot, no big deal. but the other night a good friend of mine picked up some stuff that happened to be laced in pcp, she smoked it, and now shes been in the hospital for the past 4 days. when we all found out what they had found in her system, we were shocked, knowing that this isnt something that this girl would ever touch.
so pretty much what im saying is that this is more of a push toward the legalization of marijuana. with a safe place for her to be able to get a product from, she wouldn't be fighting for her life in a hospital bed. yes, i know that marijuana is bad for you as well, but come on, whats better, having a bunch of kids get high, or having a bunch of kids get high and end up like this because of it.

i hate to say it, but i agree with you. i used to smoke weed a lot...but one time i bought from a friend [who i'd known for a long time, and i always bought from] and the weed was laced with coke or something. he knew, and didn't tell me because he thought i'd love it.
it was one of the worst nights of my life, i was in bed freaking out/seeing things and couldn't sleep. my two other friends who smoked with me also had bad nights.
and that was the last night i ever smoked...i talked to him three months later and he asked me why i hadn't called him, and i explained what happened...he laughed and told me what was up with what he sold me, i wanted to hit him i was so pissed.
stopping smoking made my life a hell of a lot better, and i hope you and your friend are scared enough to straighten out....

drugs are bad, i know that, dont need people to tell me that but people do them... just makes em sound like those annoying straightedge kids who go to bars and bitch at people for drinking and smoking.

Sadly, I agree with this. If you cut your hand off while stealing a loaf of bread, you'll learn not to steal bread. It doesn't matter that everyone steals, it's a matter of it being against the wall. You got hurt from doing something you shouldn't have been doing.

Hmm well I don't really know you but you seem like a nice person, I'm sorry you had to go through that and your "friend" sounds like a dick, but I'm glad that you learned from it. I am a pot smoker, but i do not think it should be legal and I would not expect sympathy as a result of something that happened from smoking weed.
Besides, legal pot would have barely any THC and be so heavily taxed (in Canada anyways) that people would still turn to dealers.
Someone smoking PCP is not a push for legalalization, it is a push for tougher anti-drug laws.

Yeah your logic is definitely pretty flawed. If pot was ever legalized it would strictly be for the $$$$$$ not because kids are getting bad drugs...what do you expect, dealing/buying drugs is a shady business.
What should be changed is the damn drinking age. Everywhere else in the world is 18 and everywhere else in the world has less problems involving alcohol.

Do you have any idea how expensive coke/pcp are? The person selling the bag would be taking a HUGE loss to dip nuggets in pcp, or something of the sort. The weed these people smoked was probably just a lot stronger than what their used to. Getting a laced bag is INCREDIBLY rare.

Stupid people do get what they deserve but what is your definition of stupidity? Most people do drink or smoke cigarettes/marijuana but thats life. There are medical drugs out there way more harmful than marijuana and everyone has or will take medication some time in their life.

laced weed is not a myth. i know people who lace it for their friends, and i know for a fact those friends sell it to other friends. yeah they dont lace it for strangers, but it eventually lands in the hands of strangers. and pcp and coke can be had for cheap in cali, im pretty sure everywhere else too, you just have to know where to get it and who from.
saying weed should belegalized because your friend got hurt is a rediculous statement. doing drugs is a bad idea basicaly. i smoked myself to the point of not being able to feel my high the same way anymore in high school, ive been there. i know whats up. and if you are gonna chance it with drugs, sooner or later you are gonna get burned. i remember smoking weed once, like, maybe a blunt and two bowls or something, nothing much. i remember going back to my school at lunch and having hallucinations, getting super dizzy, puking then passing out in the middle of the quad where everyone can see. and this was AFTER i had been smoking almost every day for 2 years straight, so dont tell me that weed was "stronger than what im used to", thats bs.
basically, if you are worried about getting hurt, dont smoke or do drugs. the reason drugs feel the way they do is because they alter your body's chemistry in a NEGATIVE way. its all bad whatever way you look at it.
im sorry your friend is in the hospital. she'll be fine. but let this be a lesson. dont fuck with your life like that. stay smart about your body.

I dont believe pot will ever be legalized, decrminalized perhaps. And all that means is you wont get a criminal record when caught with small amounts, you will get a fine and a ticket.
And as I said, I smoke pot, not because it is a "forbidden fruit" or anything like that, people can make their own grown up decisions but when it fucks up your life dont ask for sympathy from people who abide by the law and dont crtisize those who dont smoke.

Kids also drink and fuck and lie and cheat and an neverending list of other things. your friends incident has made you fucking scared. So you press for legalization to a safer product so you fell feel safe by numbing yourself with pot. This will make you fell safe. With legalization of anything doens't make it safer or better for you. pharmacist can also spike your cache if they wanted too also. Of course you may just be dead before you can sue.
