In ATL related news, I was watching MTV2 or something today because I just remembered we had it and I wanted to see what was on it. ANYWAYS there's this All Time Low hitlist they have and it's a playlist of music videos the band put together and the band introduced them. There was also a few Michael Jackson videos that I think MTV just decided to add just because. It was kinda cool. Oh, and they showed weightless at the beginning.

then i got into really mainstream stuff. when PATD got big, i fell in love with them. I started listening to just rock in general, like MCR, and Linkin park. Projekt Rev 07 and my search for bands similar to PATD led to me discovering Paramore, ATL, and heavier screamo.
PATD and Projekt Rev 07 helped tip my musical favoritism to the pop punk/emo/screamo

Crunkcore is a term coined by BrokeNCYDE on TRL as a label for their music.

Yes, teenagers. But like it's been said by Tom and Mark, it's like those fans are bringing their brothers to the concerts. I have a brother who likes blink because I've played them, and I know lots of younger kids who like blink. They've made such a huge mark that it seems all age groups listen to them. Kids who grew up with them to their brothers and sisters.

You also have to remember that mainly the blink fan base wasn't a ton of fan girls who were like "OH MY GOD MARK TOM TRAVIS YOU'RE SOOOO HOT OMG OMG OMG OMG LOOK HOW HOT THEY ARE OMG OMG OMG IM GOING TO SEE THEM BECAUSE OF HOW HOT THEY ARE!!!!!!" There's SO many people who like All Time Low and can name two songs but are quick to say "Alex is SOOOOOOOOOO hot!"

Unless they can gain more fans for the right reasons, I don't think they will have the same impact that blink does once they get older... I'll still love them, but the fan girls will grow out of it.

While that certainly is the case, bands like them are very different from NFG and Blink. THose bands can appeal to a more diverse auidience. All Time Low can't.
NFG and BLink now appeal to a diverse audience because, as time passed, the younger generation listened to the taste of the older generation. In a few years from now, All Time Low will be one of the most rememberd in a scene dominated by The Maine, Friday Night boys and similar acts


Yes, teenagers. But like it's been said by Tom and Mark, it's like those fans are bringing their brothers to the concerts. I have a brother who likes blink because I've played them, and I know lots of younger kids who like blink. They've made such a huge mark that it seems all age groups listen to them. Kids who grew up with them to their brothers and sisters.

You also have to remember that mainly the blink fan base wasn't a ton of fan girls who were like "OH MY GOD MARK TOM TRAVIS YOU'RE SOOOO HOT OMG OMG OMG OMG LOOK HOW HOT THEY ARE OMG OMG OMG IM GOING TO SEE THEM BECAUSE OF HOW HOT THEY ARE!!!!!!" There's SO many people who like All Time Low and can name two songs but are quick to say "Alex is SOOOOOOOOOO hot!"

Unless they can gain more fans for the right reasons, I don't think they will have the same impact that blink does once they get older... I'll still love them, but the fan girls will grow out of it.
what you are saying about Blnk fans actually applies to a pretty small niche
i can name quite a few people who went through a Blink-182 stage while only knowing "All the Small Things."
i am related to one of them.
either way, i am completely sure this band will go down with acts like FOB and Blink as a milestone in pop-punk's evolution, if only because of their popularity level

yeah i saw that too but i don't think it has to do with the show. MTV is showcasing ATL so during the breaks between shows when they have the credits and in the commercials for tv shows they play ATL music. they inconsistently have had artists of the week and done the same thing with them.
