I love Joe Biden. I'm a fan. He does not always say the right thing at the right time, but hear him speak on any social issues, policy issues he is incredibly well-spoken, detailed, very informed and put's heart into whatever he is doing. You can call him a gaffe machine, but he has it where it counts. The guy is great on speaking on the actual issues. Check out any of his debates to see that.

Biden's "gaffes" really get over exaggerated. Sometimes it has more to do with the media needing to sensationalize a story than it does with how he says it. Plently of people say the same things Biden does, he just doesn't always phrase it as it needs to be.

Opposite is true for Biden. Way too gaffe prone but very smart and informed.

I use it because you're naïve if you don't see the national full-court press picking away right now: A good point guard drives through a full court press, protecting the ball, keeping her eye on the basket... and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can WIN. And I'm doing that - keeping our eye on the ball that represents sound priorities - smaller government, energy independence, national security, freedom! And I know when it's time to pass the ball - for victory.
