Hey, how's everyone doing on this Friday? Here's my weekly entertainment report for the 24th. A little bit more news this week. Some really cool stuff including the first teaser poster of Spider Man 3, which looks awesome. Also I added a movie review part that acouple of members of the general forum do on their own time, its very cool so make sure you check that out at the bottom. Enjoy.

News and Rumors:

Spider-Man 3 Teaser Art is UP (http://www.aintitcool.com/pics/spidey3teaser.jpg)! The artwork is not black and white he's actually in that color suit.
-pic from Aintitcool.com

A scene in the upcoming Reno 911!: Miami movie will star all 11 members of "The State" this is the first time they all have been together since the State ended in 1995. I keep getting more exicted about this movie.

Thomas Jane (the punisher) is looked to star in "Evilseek". "Jane will play a cop so demoralized by the handiwork of a serial killer that he commits suicide. Satan uses the cop's body as a vessel, inheriting a disgruntled ex-wife, a promiscuous 15-year-old daughter, a lesbian partner and some of the cop's dogged determination to catch the killer." - synopsis from darkhorizons.com

Steven Speilberg says that Indiana Jones 4 is his next movie! Looks like its finally going to start moving along.

Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange are going to be playing two relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy in the upcoming movie "Grey Gardens". Barrymore will be playing Little Edie and Lange will star as her mother.

Kate Moss is going to be playing a lesbian in the biopic about Dusty Springfield which is set to be directed by Ang Lee. Charlize Theron will actually be playing Springfield, while Moss will be one of her lovers early on in the movie. The film will follow Sprinfield's entire life from birth to death.

The director of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" (starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James) has dropped out citing creative differences. David Dobkin wanted a broad comedy while Sandler wanted to do another type of Sandler comedy. The Film follows to firemen who fake a marriage to receive benefits.

Billy Bob Thorton is going to direct and star in "Floyd Collins" set in the 1920's, it centers around the true story of cave explorer Floyd Collins who was stuck in a cavern in Kentucky.

The writers of Lost are still looking for a way to kill off Michelle Rodriguez in the story line. Expect it to happen sometime shortly.

Jessica Biel is going to star along side of Nicholas Cage and Julianne Moore in the movie "Next". She is going to be playing the love interest of Cage, who has the ability to see the future and change its outcome. The FBI enlists his help to prevent global terrorist attacks until he ends up having to make the choice of saving himself or the world.

There is talks that Arrested Development has been picked up for another 12 episodes that hasn't happened yet but reports is that its about 50/50 chance that it'll happen. They have until June 15th to decide.

Big W, as Will Smith is now known, visted India's Bollywood, their version of Hollywood, and is planning on going to work with some of their bigger named actors there.

Marky Mark Walhberg is set to star in "The Shooter" where he plays a sharpshooter who banishes himself to the woods when he kills an innocent person. When a friend seeks his help he comes out only to be framed for the assassination of the President.

Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Anne Hathaway and Leslie Mann are going to star in "Knocked Up" which is about two people whom have a one night stand only to find out they're going to have a baby a few months later. Judd Aptow is set to direct.

Now for the 100th different rumor on the Batman villians: Supposivley Hugo Weaving and Hugh Jackman are set to star as the Joker and Harvey dent in the upcoming sequel. While this is about the 4th or 5th different Joker we've heard of and the 2nd or 3rd Dent, I wouldn't take this too seriously just yet.

Mischa Barton as supergirl?? I hope not.

Jonathan Liebesman is going to be the director of the next Friday the 13th movie. He also directed the soon to be released Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel which just finished filming.

Joaquin Phoneix is looking to star in "Withouth Remorse" a film directed by John Singleton. Its about how a Navy Seal named John Clark joins the C.I.A. under the name Mr. Clark.

Jurassic Park 4 is set to release in 2008, they have the script and are going to start shooting sometime in the near future.

The Batman Begins and, yet to be released, Superman Returns movies are both being looked at for sequels now. Singer is expected to direct the Superman sequel after he finishes the remake of "Logans Run". While its thought that we'll see the Batman sequel in 08 and the Superman sequel in 09

AICN is reporting that Keanu Reeves might be up for the role of Silver Surfer in the upcomming Fantastic Four sequel. He shoulda done Point Break 2.

Chris Rock has signed on to star in "I think I love My Wife" which is about a man w/ a perfect marriage, which ends up daydreaming about past women of his life when one actually begins to seduce him, only to find out that he does love his wife.

Vin Diesel is getting back into a car for "The Wheelman" where he stars as an experienced driver (Transporter?) in which he has to protect a women.

Tom Cruise is looking to play the villian in the remake of "3:10 to Yuma" while he hasn't signed on yet, he is the favorite.

Well in which most likely will be a hit because for whatever insane reason people love this guy, Larry the Cable Guy has a movie coming out. Entitled Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector.

Some dissapointing news, Anthony Hopkins biopic of Ernest Hemingway entitled "Papa" is not going to be made afterall.

Aquaman is coming to the small screen rather than the big screen. The series is looking to be on the WB and they have Justin Hartley set to star as A.C. Curry. Also starring is Ving Rhames as McCaffery and Denise Quinones as Rachel Starling

Venom (Eddie Brock) is a comic book supervillain in the Marvel Comics universe, and an enemy of Spider-Man. He is usually counted as one of the web-slinger's greatest enemies, alongside Dr. Octopus and the Green Goblin.

While embroiled in a major crossover storyline fighting the Secret Wars on an alien planet, Spider-Man acquired an alien costume. It responded to his thoughts, was able to mimic street clothes and seemed to provide an inexhaustible supply of webbing. Unfortunately, once on Earth, Spider-Man learned that the costume was in fact a sentient Symbiote, that desired to fuse permanently with Spider-Man, and which enveloped him at night as he slept, using his unconscious body to go out and fight crime. With the aid of Mister Fantastic, Spider-Man managed to have the costume removed. The costume made one more attempt to bond itself to Spider-Man, but was forcibly rejected. Weakened by the rejection, the costume slithered away, presumably to die.
Meanwhile, reporter Eddie Brock had been penning a number of articles in The Daily Globe on the recent Sin-Eater case, a storyline that ran in Amazing Spider-Man’s sister title, The Spectacular Spider-Man. Following a false lead, he proceeded to write a series of columns identifying Emil Gregg as the perpetrator of the crimes. When Spider-Man caught the real criminal, policeman Stan Carter, Emil Gregg was discovered to be a compulsive confessor. The Globe became a laughing stock, and it fired Brock, who was shunned by his peers, and forced to write scathing celebrity exposes and alien abduction drivel for the scandal rags. Brock took up weight lifting in the hopes of reducing his stress, but was unsuccessful in alleviating his obsessive hatred of Spider-Man. Planning to kill himself, Eddie went to a church to apologize to God for not being strong enough to handle life. In that church, Eddie was found by the alien costume, which bonded itself to the failed reporter. The process left both, already emotionally unstable individuals, permanently damaged. Adopting the name Venom in reference to the tawdry stories he was forced to write after falling from grace as a reporter, the new symbiotic pair decided to take their revenge on Spider-Man. At one point, Venom actually broke into Parker's home, severely frightening his wife, Mary Jane Watson.

i think if there was something in his eyes they wanted you to see, you'd see it. So is spiderman going to space in this one?

Harry from ain't it cool thought he saw a goblin in the eyes as well. Apparently in one of the Q&As on there (the source has yet to be confimed on the site), Harry Osborn takes the reins of the Green Goblin, but is conflicted on which side of the battle(s) he should fight on.

I'm pretty stoked. This is just a teaser image, that's not to say we won't see the Black Costume we know and love, but I sitll like the black version of the movie suit, so if that's all it ends up being, I'm jazzed.

I think they should take off the webs ... but yah, the fan boy in me was mad - but got over it fast.

i understand WHY they did it. Eddie Brock is gonna be protrayed as the opposite of Peter Parker. Thats why topher Grace is playing the part. They're the same, yet completely different. Same body type, same powers, and same goddamned uniform except that only his version is black because he's evil.

if they're gonna use Venom, use the REAL uniform with the giant spider on the front and with the liquid dripping. Hes supposed to be visually frightning and a genuinely disturbing homicdal monster, not a Bizarro Spider-Man. lame...

But in all honesty, i cant stay mad at this. Venom sucks anyways. Thats why hes been reduced to a mere joke of the Marvel Universe..

That's true. DC's kicking it into high gear. And Nightwing is supposed to play a major role in Infinite Crisis. And I gotta admit, those images are ridiuclously similar, but then again, the characters sort of are as well (not a dis to either)

Did you read Batman 650? Surprisngly awesome Jason Todd ish.

yeah, i can understand how venom/black spidey fans would be pissed. but keep in mind, this is just a teaser image. it may not be what the final product looks like. This movie isnt coming out for another year and some change

']I'm aware of Nightwing even though I dont read it, I'm predomiantly a Marvel man with a bit of Batman thrown in for good measure.

Question: Which Robin is Nightwing is it Dick Grayson? Answers on a postcard please.

OH! OH OH TEACHER PICK MEEEEE!!

Dick Grayson was the first Robin. he started out Batman's apprentice. then he graduated to leader of the teen Titans. When it was established he was a college student about 19 years old and still running around calling himself "Robin" he became "Nightwing".

Jason Todd was the second Robin. He supposedly died when he was savagely beaten with a crowbar and left to die in an explosion by the Joker. Apprantly he survived and is now going around killing people Punisher-style calling himself Red Hood.

Stephanie Drake was Robin for about two issue right before the "War Games" crossover last year. She accidently started a massive gangwar in gotham and got herself killed. oh well, she was lame anyways..

Tim Drake is the current Robin.

gimmie that extra credit be-yatch!

can you give a brief summary of what happened?

long story short...

Blockbuster (think of the Kingpin) runs the mob in Bludhaven, a city not far from Gotham.

Nightwing sets up shop in Bludhaven and throws a monkey wrench in Blockbuster's empire.

One day, Blockbuster finds out Nightwing's secret identity as Dick Grayson. Blockbuster goes on a quest to destroy Nightwing's life. He kills everyone Dick knows in the city.

Nightwing gets pissed and fights Blockbuster in a final confrontation. Onces he's defeated, this chick named Tarantula (think of Elektra) kills Blockbuster, making Nightwing a murderer by assoication. Nightwing starts freaking out and has really akward sex with Tarantula while he mutters "i failed you Bruce" over and over again...

fingers crossed for Arrested Development!!! :)

seriously. if Showtime picks up Arrested Development, i will do a backflip into a into a giant pit of canned cheese in pure joy...

I liked Steph as a Robin supporting character., not a Bat-char. I thought her death was poorly used and has had little bearing on the Bat (which is annoying considering the shite going down with Jason). I didn't like her very much as Robin, and she's been very much brushed under the rug. Although, I always thought it funny when she and Secret fought over him in Young Justice.
