you really should. they have some poppy stuff, but still some great slower ones. nothing as touching to me as Echo or Eileen, but still good... and it took me awhile to like it.

If the production on SS and GB was better I might like them, but LV has great production and amazing songs. Definitely one of my all time favorite albums.

Love them all, but So Sudden slightly more.

I could never pick one over the others.
Most of Bob's songs are guitar driven, and most of Greta's songs are piano driven. Each album has a completely different lead vocal split, which leads to three completely different vibes.

So Sudden - Bob sings lead on 9/13 songs. There's an underlying urgency throughout the album.
Like Vines - Bob sings lead on 5.5/11 songs, Greta sings lead on 5.5/11 songs. It's a 50/50 split, the best of both worlds.
Goodbye Blues - Greta sings lead on 9/12 songs (I'm not counting the interlude). The most different (a good different) musically and lyrically.

i went with like vines b/c i like how it's evenly split between bob and greta, where as the other 2 lean one was or the other. all of the albums are so great though

So Sudden didn't really do anything for me as an album, but there are some songs on there that are classic.

it's probably because either people just haven't listened to them, or they just know they're on FBR, so they assume that they are a typical pop band.
