"Naturally the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a facist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of their leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."

so i guess all of our 'soldiers' were forced into joining the army by the government... how tragic...

you are stupid.

nobody is denouncing pacifism either, everybody just hates pacifists because war is the most obvious and correct course of action in this scenario, and you're so blind you can't see it, you're obviously some kind of human-rights activist peacenik kind of guy... so don't you care that hundreds of thousands of muslims and american POWS are being tortured, gased and killed in iraq, doesn't that bring a tear to your emo cheek?

saddam is a monster, and you can't just say "please stop doing that" because he doesn't listen... you can't have peace through peace, you must have peace through war.
