I just wanted to see how many people at AP like Dan Brown. I've read Angels & Demons and the Da Vinci Code. Right now I'm about 3/4 of the way through Deception Point.

I wouldn't call him "amazing". He's a fun author. His books just don't really stick well.

I think that he sets up the plot really well. It all ties together.

Angels & Demons > Da Vinci CodeI agree. Angels & Demons would of been alot better tho if he didn't put that final twist at the end. It was a fun read all the way thru tho. Da Vinci Code kind of bored me 3/4 the way thru but it was still a good book also.

Yeah, when you read it, you realize how perfect Audrey Tautou is for Sophie Noveau.

I seriously have the best birthday for movies, it's like major movies favorite release date...more than half of the Star Wars movies have been released on my birthday, and now The Da Vinci Code.

I've read The DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons. I really liked Angels & Demons because I read it right when I came home from Rome. I really liked the DaVinci Code, but remember nothing about it. I want to re-read it before the movie.

the special illustrated editions of A&D and Davinci Code are really really useful.

half the time when he is describing something, it really helps to be able to actually see it.

I dunno, I liked the books alot, and then I liked them even more when I reread through the illustrated editions.

I just read an article about how the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" are sueing Brown for "stealing" ideas and themes from them. Dan Brown has sited HBHG as somewhat as one of many sources but he didn't steal anything.

If this case goes against Brown's favor, the movie's release will be threatened.

What did he make up? Absense of evidence does not mean evidence of absense. Though I am an existentialist hippie.

I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed to find out that Tom Hanks is going to be Langdon. I like Tom Hanks, but he just doesn't seem to fit. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong. Yes that was a bit off topic, but I'm bored and I figured I'd throw that in here.

I just read that as well....it's kind of bull shit. I read "holy blood, holy grail" as well as "bloodline of the holy grail"....the theory behind the da vinci code has been around forever...i doubt the disgruntled authors can win the case.

i think he is very overrated, i read da vinci code, then angels and demons, then da vinci code again because like most people have said, i forgot a lot, they are both the same book i feel, i think he makes to many plot twists and it just makes the story become stupid, especially in angels and demons

I read an article about him being sued over The Da Vinci Code in a paper on the train this afternoon as it goes.
