Not coming close enough near me. Columbus is pretty close, but I wouldn't drive down there for this. The Friday Night Boys aren't very good live, but half of the band are nice kids. I'd only go for them and Cobra if I changed my mind..somehow.

I don't think they're fantastic, but I've only seen them once and the mic's were off a little bit, their soundcheck took almost 20 minutes and they still couldn't get it right. and Mike and Robby were drunk. So no, the experience wasn't great haha. Might be better for you though.
This will be my 8th time seeing Cobra Starship. I don't mind driving an hour to Colorado Springs to see shows at the Black Sheep.

their new stuff doesnt come close to their first and 2nd album...
About FNB, I also saw them on the HeyMonday tour, and yes, they were really bad. Did not sound good, no energy/stage presence, and they seemed like they really didnt want to be there. Them and Stereo Skyline realllyyy brought down the show. the other 3 bands were awesome, though.

Eh at the Cleveland show they weren't too bad maybe I'm biased due to how nice they are. Stereo Skyline on the other hand...

WOW! That's a really long setlist for Cobra Starship. So glad I get to go to this, and that it will be worth it! Even when I've seen them on headlining tours it feels like they're opening bands because they usually only play 10-12 songs. And it's really good to see songs like Diamond Girl and The World Has Its Shine back on there. And I was hoping for not too much new stuff, since the new album won't be out when I go see them (on Friday).
I'm hoping that once the album is released they'll play more new stuff. Actually, it leaked today so maybe they'll play new songs will be even before 8/11?
And I hope they continue bringing people on stage for Bring It. Mostly because I want to be one of them haha.

I'm sure they'll add more as the tour goes on. I'd just prefer to see the new songs when I actually know them. I've seen Cobra Starship more than any other bands, so I figure I'll see them behind Hot Mess plenty of times. They sure do come to Colorado a lot. This is already my 3rd time this year and their album hasn't even been released yet.

I'm not a big fan of The World Has It's Shine and Pleasure Ryland I'd rather rather replace those with It's Warmer in the Basement and Prostitution, but the rest looks great. Wish they were coming close to me

Hmmm...I'm pretty sure I remember them playing that on warped. because he kept making jokes about how latinos can't spell, but he couldn't spell because of how hot it was outside.

anybody know if they are now playing more new songs? after all, this is the HOT MESS tour.
all the videos from the tour dates so far have really bad sound quality. such a shame. im actually curious to see this. dont like fnb, and am not a big fan of the audition, but Cobra is good.
Colorado Springs show was great. Actually liked Friday Night Boys and The Audition quite much, wasn't expecting too.
Cobra Starship was great, setlist was as posted above, except they did not play Nice Guys Finish Last or Pleasure Ryland. Not surprisingly, Gabe was sick and hoarse (I know he gets sick often but I can't remember the last time they played in Denver with him not feeling sick).
Gabe was smashed. He would go on 5-10 minute rants after every song, mostly stories that led nowhere or had nothing to do with what he started talking about or how he ended up introducing the song. Most of the band looked pretty bored and even frustrated during some of these long rants. The show last over an hour and half despite only playing 11-12 songs (the medley being one songs). Still, great energy from the Cobras and the crowd.

I doubt it, on probably all of the above. I've seen Cobra 8 times and only seen Pop Punk once, and it was acoustic. As for the other ones, I think Keep it Simple is forever gone, and Basement probably the same. Robots was played on some shows on Sassyback but not most. With 3 albums now and the short setlists they play, I wouldn't expect to see those back.

I went to the show in Dallas tonight.
DJ Skeet Skeet got the crowd warmed up by playing a variety of popular songs (everything from Black Eyed Peas to Metro Station) before the show, and he came back out and played a few more songs before Cobra came on.

Thanks so much for all the info! I hope that they start playing more Hot Mess material. How can they not play the actual song "Hot Mess" on the Hot Mess tour? I don't understand. I plan on being "that guy" and obnoxiously yelling requests haha. I want to hear Hot Mess, Living in the Sky, and the Scene is Dead, in addition to GGGB and Pete Wentz.

the friday night boys showed a LOT of growth since lets make a mess last night in dallas. their set was wayy better.
the audition kept the crowd going, but they were kinda generic. cobra put on an amazing show.
