According to a new interview with Mark in AP magazine, Plus 44 (www.plusfortyfour.com)'s debut record will be released on Interscope Records. Scans can be found at Plus44Online.com (www.plus44online.com).

does anyone know anything about Blink's contract with Geffen? Like-I wonder if AVA is only on Geffen because the label is letting that count as "filling out the blink contract, " since they did rather abruptly go on "hiatus"...and that would explain 44 going with Interscope...anyone agree?

yeah...i know...a tear fell from my eye when i saw these pictures...i mean-who can't relate to blink? i grew up on those records(enema, TOYPAJ) and i "came of age" to their last album...amazing band and amazing dudes...ill always support them

read up on what the name means and why they picked it, it makes a lot of sense.

its still a stupid band name. if they had talked about starting the band at McDonalds would they call themselved the McRibs? dumb band name, if this was anyone other than mark and travis we would be all over it. also, the first song they released does mention slitting your wrists, which is equally cliche. i'll wait to hear more, but so far, AVA>>>>>>>>>>>>>Plus 44

Mark Hoppus is the man. I'm WAYYYY more excited for Plus44 because it will actually be something different. I know exactly what the AVA album will sound like just because its Tom Delonge and I know how he writes and what he is capable of, where as I have never heard Mark and Travis together outside of Blink or even just Mark outside of Blink. And why does the name of the band even matter? If you think about a lot of band's names they are kinds shitty, but its all about the music so it doesnt matter.

i am looking forward to both bands. i feel better about supporting mark and travis though, because i like them more in interviews and on mark's podcast. mark doesn't seem to be just talking about he is batter than everybody. he seems to just be doing what he enjoys and helping out other bands as well. travis is one of the best rock drummers ever. i know people say that a lot, but even w/ all the hype i still don't think travis is overrated. i've seen him play twice (once w/ blink and once w/ the transplants) and he is the most entertaining drummer i've seen. i don't even really like the transplants that much, but i was attentive through their entire set because of travis. i don't know much about this carol character, but i have nothing bad to say about any pluss 44 member, except for the fact that the name is dumb, but that's not really that big of a deal.
