Here's a funny story, Danny (marbury1414) and I saw this movie a year and a half ago at some screening in LA. I hope for your guys' sake they fixed it up because it suuuucked. Some cool action, but lame movie.

so i went to see ultraviolet today, not expecting a whole lot in the way of story lines. from what i saw from the previews you might as well call this movie "aeon flux 2" or "resident evil3(not to say resident evil extinction wont be good or you could call it "V for Vendetta/1984/equilibriu 2) whatever, they all look the same. what i saw from this movie was utter failure in the realm of teling the general audience that we are destroying the decent idea of turning comic books into credible movies. why milla jovovich choose to do this, i do not know...maybe she has not had enough roles to show her heroin chic model naked body enough but all i know is taht after watching this movie i swear the writer of the comic book must of wrote both the script and directed the movie. the movie opened somewhat promising with a few flashy action pact sequences but then they dialogue started. i initially thought that maybe they were going for a film noir "sin city" type emotion but i eventually found out that it just blew. now ive never walked out of a movie...i mean i sat through fantastic four and the hulk but i nearly ran out.

if anything can be worth taking from this experience, it is that you get a glimpse of the upcomming SILENT HILL MOVIE!!! this looked promising. more story dedicated then any recent "game to movie" movie ive seen, and the visuals just remind you of playing the first game when you were 11. the set and the direction looked detailed and amazing. i would tell everyone to check this out. i may be over hyping but it looked intense! on a side note, they changed the lead to a women, which does change the story line a bit but not in a drastic way. on a side note, the writting is done partially by roger avary who wrote alot of terrinto's early work and is directed by the same guy who wrote and directed brotherhood of the wolf.

i didnt say v for vendetta was going to be bad, althoug maybe i should. maybe the wachowski brothers should get out of the business of making movies cause i can only see the hero in a movie go through ultimate peril so many times and miraculously come out unscathed at the end of the movie. maybe they should go back to making subpar gender baring role movies like bound. and silent hill is going to be nuts. your a moron.

i agree....i mean im not going to see a video game movie for an attempt at good acting. im going for the accuracy and the cinematography. and all of those elements looked awesome on the preview. i havent seen a decent acting job on a video game since super mario brothers or wing commander:X not really....but still....do you notice the bad line of movies when the writter takes both the writting roles and the director rules....such as wing commander and others? silent hill moved in a different direction

im just hoping for something in between. like somewhat convincing acting, which hopefully will make the scenes appear to be like when your playing the game. but i think the added big screen always helps a little...i think any movie with a good set and aura such as this, should be available in IMAX....so you can hear something comming from behind you, like actually behind you instead of in front or wherever else the speakers are.

you know i knew nothing of ultraviolet. all i saw was the previews when they were in those black balls and poped out like pokemon. that was enough to make me see it. about five minutes into it, i decided it was a bad decision. and while i look forward to silent hill.....i think v for vendetta will be good, but not great. its almost just a present day matrix in every aspect but maybe with slightly better acting and less philosophy

V for Vendetta, from trusted critics, is supposed to be spectacular. Not only is it supposed to be intrinisically excellent, it's supposed to be important AND to mean something. It's based off of a Alan Moore series, of course it will be good.

you do understand that alan moore also wrote the league of extraordinary gentlemen series, which when adapted, was the worst movie ever.
