I had the chance to check out the Haste The Day, Between The Buried And Me, Every Time I Die, Bleeding Through show at the House Of Blues here in Chicago. I don't know if all House Of Blues are like this, but everytime I have to deal with the worst power tripping security ever. I have been to almost every club here in Chicago and HOB is the most strict by far. I understand that they have to abide by a code of sorts but I don't really care for how they go about it.

Anyways, I missed Haste The Day's set due to some complications of me getting in so I can not provide an accurate review. I was sitting downstairs and it sounded like they put on a pretty solid show.

This was my second time seeing Between The Buried And Me and they never cease to amaze me. Watching Blake Richardson destroy his kit was incredible and Paul Waggoner is one of the most talented guitar players I have ever had the chance to see live. If you aren't a fan of heavier type music, just listen to these guys play their guitars, it's absolutely insane. As always the crowd was one hundred precent into the band, singing right along. Tommy Rogers is the most energetic of the band and he was all over the crowd. They played a pretty good mix of newer and old songs, I was looking foward to hearing "Alaska" but no luck. Vocals sounded incredible and the musicianship was all right on. Don't mjss this band.

Every Time I Die is one of my favorite bands. I saw them live for the first time tonight and they didn't let me down for one second. They played a PERFECT mix of Hot Damn and Gutter Phenomenon (which is easily one of my favorite albums). They played every single song I wanted to hear, and that's actually pretty rare for a band. Well, when I think about it again there isn't really one Every Time I Die song I actually dislike. They played a nice long set and the crowd was clearly into them from song one to the end. The entire band puts everything they can into their live show. Towards the final few songs of their set I noticed a few guys in Fall Out Boy made an apperance to the side of the stage. I found it kind of interesting when I noticed them singing along. This is one tour you do not want to miss. Between The Buried And Me and Every Time I Die touring together? That's incredible.

I unfortunatley did not stay around for Bleeding Through but the show was sold out so I'm sure the majority of the kids were there to see them.

what is up with you guys never seeing etid? everyone acts like they came out of nowhere and theyre some new band. however, more amazing was seeing dillinger and btbam together. i dont know why its so surprising seeing fob singing along with etid, its not like theyre in love with pop punk music its just the music they play to make money.

Chicago just went under a "Clean Oridanance" where you can't smoke in any public venues... there was plenty of kids smoking at HOB and Security didn't seem to do anything about it.

Yeah Ive been into them for quite some time. I just always seem to be out of town when they come here.

I'd say they are one of the most technical bands out there. Their guitarist are quite the amazing.

HOB is so godamn annoying, they completely ravaged my friend's purse, made me take my fucking cha[stick out of my pocket, and threatened to kick me out for reaching over the barricade?! Its a cool venue, but the guards suck. Oh and BTBAM live is probalby one of thr most amazing live hardcore bands.
Yeah.. and they ask for five fucking dollars to check ANYTHING. And if you live in Chicago you are pretty much insane to leave your house in the winter with out a coat. I did it tonight but oh well.

I get to see this show Tuesday. Now I'm kinda stoked about seeing it.

And the HOB-Chicago wasn't that strict when I was there for a show, but it was like a year and a half ago. They didn't do a bag-check or anything like that to me.

well, you were wearing a chain wallet...probably for the better you had to take it off.

and im pretty sure you dont get to stand on the side of the stage by not being friends with a band.

And now both bands are big. I always thought Rise Against was from south side Chicago and Fall Out Boy was from northern Suburbs.... I wonder how they met.

I'm pretty sure Patrick never was in Arma. I thought the Rolling Stone interview with them said Patrick never was in the Hardcore Scene.
Although up until just now, I had no idea Joe and Andy were in the band as well, I thought it was just Pete.

I saw BTBAM with DEP and Horse after barely having heard them at all and they blew my mind. Seriously, some of the most talented people right now. Not all of their songs grab me, but the musicianship redefines top notch.

between the buried and me might be good musicians and all, but they are one of the most boring bands I've ever seen live. Tommy is the only one that moves around at all. Sure they can play, but its not a big deal if they're all just staring at their guitars the whole time like they just learned the song.
Again, don't get all butthurt, I do like their music.. they just suck live
