...And this is when things get interestings. I like this move because they could probably get a king's ransom from some team. Plus, they already have an RB.

They really want Vince Young, but don't want to look like fools passing over Bush. haha

I could see a scenario where Houston trades back to #4 w/ the Jets in a package that includes John Abraham. His salary would be an issue, but I'm sure they would negotiate a long-term deal and that would lessen the immediate hit on the salary cap.

they should sell it. they could paint the houston stadium gold with the money theyd get for the top pick.

I am in Houston and the vibe people here are getting from coaches and owner is they are going to take Reggie Bush, all this trade talk is just mandatory talks to not tip their hand. They just signed Carr and keep talking about getting him talent around him ie: REGGIE BUSH. It would take a whole lot to make them trade the pick, but I don't think they will.

they already have a 1,000 yard runner, there is no reason whatsoever to take Bush. here is what will happen if they do: if you have two talents at different positions (Carr and Bush) one of them is bound to suffer. So if Bush takes off like everyone THINKS he will, Carr will suffer like he has every year. However if Carr has a great year, everyone will bitch and moan cause Bush wont have 2,000 yards. The Texans are very smart for doing this, I think if they trade with the Jets for Abraham and the #4 pick then trade Abraham to the Broncos for their 1st rounder plus a key player they will only benefit.

do texans fans not realize the pitiful offensive line they have? Trade down to the Jets spot and take Ferguson.

yeah, Carr and Davis are actually good players, it's just hard to do anything when you have the entire team crashing down on you. If they pick up Abraham (helps their D, or trade for another good pick), they could up their O-line and Defense and actually win 5 or 6 games this season

Yeah, I've been hearing rumors/talks of Abraham and the #4 for #1. I think the Jets have a lot of moves to go this offseason, so who knows. They really want Ferguson and it's going to be hard to pass on him if they keep #4, but they're also completely infatuated with Cutler, and are working on trading some combination of picks/Abraham/Mawae/Penninton to get another high first rounder.

The Texans O Line issues will be resolved in Free Agency and with better coaching. If they do trade down to #4 they would take Mario Williams, but they aren't going to trade down in my opinion, with Bush, Carr, Davis, and Andre Johnson plus Gary Kubiak as our offensive mind we will be much better next year.

you are kidding yourself. Coachng can't fix that line, and where is this money going to come from for 2 or 3 productive lineman? What about the pitiful defense? All the pick of Bush would do is set the team back another year. They have a solid foundation in Carr, Davis, and Johnson ...now they need to build around them. Taking Bush doesnt solve any of the Texans issues, which are at OL and just about every defensive position.

The Jets don't have the talent to pull off a trade of that size and they don't have the cap room. They just restructured Curtis Martin's contract, so if they were going to take a RB they'd take one next year and givwe the new RB two years to develop under Martin.

trade with the fifth pick....and get that beast tackle from va. from there you can take a good receiver or lb in the second round.

what the hell are you talking about? Since when can't you have a star QB along with a star RB? See Kurt Warner + Marshal Faulk, see Peyton Manning + The Edge, see Aikman+ Emmitt. Hell, Look at Leinart and Bush. Haven't you ever heard of Play-action? If anything, they would compliment each other.
Also, in case you didn't know, Reggie Bush is NOT an everydown back. with him you're looking at 15-20 carries a game, and a few screen passes, he's a special teams guy as well. They need another back much like USC complimented him with Lendale.
You don't trade this pick. They aren't going to trade this pick.

Yeah I was going to attack that post but you already did. Made zero sense to me.
Texans should draft D'Brick and lock down one of the most important positions for the next decade.

A trade with the Jets is perfect for them but they won't do it cause they're retarded.

are there any good OL's who will be FA's they can snag after the draft?
cuz seriously passing on reggie bush would be the mistake of a lifetime.

i may sound biased for this, but i think they should trade it to the pats
i mean the pats would get bush, but the texans would get too much in return. corey dillon, kevin faulk, the pats first round pick, some o-linemen, and possibly more. It would be win-win for both teams.

I just explained the trade they were proposing. And they don't plan on starting Martin next year, anyway.

woody paige brought this up yesterday on TV and it made zero sense to me ..it still does. hell, it'd be great for the Patriots, but why on earth would the Texans take Corey Dillon?? He does no good for that team considering he's old and wouldnt even be an upgrade on Domanick Davis. The Pats and Texans really dont match up well as trade partners unless you wanna give away a couple picks and Wilfork or Warren ..which I say thanks, but no thanks as a Pats fan. We have the makings of the most dominant D-Line in the league for years to come.
I still say Houston should trade back to #4 if the Jets want Bush. They could still grab Ferguson there plus whatever ransom they held the Jets to. It's still early but it looks like if you go any lower than #4, you risk losing Ferguson.
