I saw some of Gilgamesh. The first episode was alright, but it does go downhill. I think the best part of the show is the opening of episode cuz Koda Kumi sings the opening song. I haven't seen Star Ocean or E's so I'll say Gungrave.

Sailor Moon- better than DBZ sometimes, also a classic

Gundam- I cannot stress this anime enough. It has done more for giant robots than any before it or since (sorry fans of Mazinger of Gren Dizer, this one brought it to the world). There are over a dozen series set over a dozen timelines. Start with Mobile Suit Gundam, then check out Zeta, War In The Pocket, Stardust memory, 8th MS Team, Wing, X and Seed

Neon Genesis Evagelion- quite possibly the best anime ever made. Bibilical imagery, apocalyptic prophecy...and giant robots

X- also big on biblical epic mythology, this series is amazing. skip the movie

Naruto- ninjas, ninjas and more ninjas

You have no idea..theres this guy I know. He has a whole room full of comic books. He has every kind of action figure. He has two big screen tvs and two or three x-boxs, which he holds Halo 2 competitions and such.

theyre not as bad as they used to be. the quality has gone up incredibly in recent years, and now a lot of them also have english dub versions on the dvd.

Yea they definitely gone up quality wise. The dvds that have dubs are series that have been fully released in the US. For example, shows like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are like that. But for a shows like One Piece and Detective Conan- the dubs are horrible and its censored and at the same time the certain volumes of the hk dvds are illegible.

Naruto's and FMA's hk subtitles were suprisingly on point. But since I got fired from my job I haven't bought a hk dvd in awhile so I'm sticking with the fansubs or the US dvd rips.
