Ok, bands with MySpace (http://www.myspace.com), yours should look a little something like The Bled (http://www.myspace.com/thebled)'s.

Because every band has professional programmers to make them myspaces and websites.

Very cool though. I like it.

I'm telling you. My friend's band bought their domain (www.thenewdiet.net /shameless plug) and it redirects to their myspace page, and it looks like a plain old page edited with Tom's Myspace editor or some bullshit. That annoys the piss out of me.

best part of that page is that there's no comments.....those are the biggest wastes of space on a band's myspace page.

Actually, no. This company called Parallel (http://www.thisisparallel.com/) designed it. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it's right there.

Any MySpace that doesn't load 100 videos, 4 songs, and 99 comments from 13 year old girls who are probably going to turn into the next-trend-abusers in 5 years is ifne by me.

exactly, its retarted to have comments. " i love your band, your so hot" cant wait to see you guys next week" do these dumb kids think most of these bands actually read the comments?

I checked out the code... it's pretty ingenious...

Basically, all the normal stuff is still there, it's just hidden... so the comments are still all loaded, they're just not shown because their display element is set to none. After that it's just filling in the rest of the page with a design.

Never thought you could actually use CSS to have it not display anything in the page, but I guess you can :p

I agree that this is a well-designed page and everybody should follow suit. Tim, have you seen www.csszengarden.com ?

The secret is to have everything on your page hidden, then just rebuild it all working in whatever elements you want to keep. Little more complex than one of those stupid generators but whatever.

David Wooley

I agree thats a lot better than most bands myspaces that get all crazy and stuff with too many things
