There is no online support for this album with digital downloads. If it doesn't debut as #1, and that could be a factor, then somone has their foot in their mouth.

i agree. people sometimes make such a scene on these boards about how much they don't like the bands that are not cool to like.
i mean, i'm in the same boat as everyone else that doesn't like them, but a lot of people do, so i hope they enjoy the new cd.
however, i don't think they've quite got enough fanbase yet to debut at #1, but as was said earlier, there's not a lot of competition this week, so we'll see.

That was a terrible experience for me as well.
Say Anything cancelled, I was crushed. Emanuel was terrible (i usually like them, but I think they were drunk).
Nobody there knew STD. A few people were singing along, but some kids in the back started chanting "Get these guys of stage."
I was really upset people would rather listen to Senses Fail instead of STD. Senses Fail writes good music, but nothing like STD.

yeah ive heard hh ripped on for alot of things, but ripping on someone for supporting peta is about the lamest thing ive ever seen attempted. but clearly you knew that the raw material in your jab wasn't quality enough so you implemented a half-assed typed lisp by putting 'th' in every other word (clever..terribly clever). but now you've just made fun of someone that supports the ethical treatment of animals and apparently you have a problem with lisps. and in your next post, if you're not kicking puppies, or flicking newborns in their softspots, i will be thoroughly dissappointed with your efforts. quit touching kids. you suck.

This must be the only board in the whole world where people are actually arguing over whether this band is good or not. Sorry, but they're just plain awful, and thats a fact. Even if they sell more records than Superman all it means is that lots and lots of people have been brainwashed into a type of music that's the 2006 equivalent of butt-rock from the 80s. Compare the outfits, its the same thing. Now we just have to wait for the 2006 equivalent of Nirvana to come and make all of this a bad memory. Sorry Brummel, enjoy putting these records out until it gets REALLY embarrasing.

While you are take a neutral stance on this album reaching #1, I will remain pessimistic - much like my attitude towards your spelling abilities.
P.S. I've been told by an extremely reliable source that this album shipped 1 million. That's not saying that it will be #1, but there sure will be plenty of CD's out there.

I seriously, seriously doubt it. I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been more hype for this album. With how well the last album did, I expected the Victory Marketing Machine to be in full effect. I would expect a top ten spot, but top five is pushing it.
I'm hoping that the Say Anything reissue finds a spot in the Top 100, but I'm not holding my breath. Other than a couple of half/quarter-page ads in music magazines, there hasn't been much in the way of promotion.

I downloaded it earlier this week but I have every intention of buying it because it's still an amazing album almost ten years later.
Also, who is surprised that Victory has been shoving the new HH down our throats for about a month, but the new SM is coming out and it's gotten no push whatsoever?
Because I'm not surprised at all.

I would say selling 6k before the release date is pretty good. The #1 slot will be a race between Ne-Yo and Hawthorne Heights. It's amazing how a rapper w/ 1 song and no real touring history is going to probably sell 200k, but that's what a major label does for you. Hawthorne Heights will probably sell close to 150k, which is insane for being on an indie. If Hawthorne Heights does debut at #1, it will speak great volumes for the power that indie labels can have. Although Victory has spent tons & tons promoting the shit out of this album.

I've never actually listened to a single song from this band, but I've heard bad things from people. Regardless, I still hope the album does well because the more bands the start to get big from this overarching genre of "punk" (e.g. Fall Out Boy, Panic!, Yellowcard, HH), the more of a chance that other bands have to make it big too.
