I grew up in New Canaan (not far from Stamford) so I took the train out to catch one of the Alive at 5 shows. BTE was great (in fact, it was a much more genuine, fun and sincere set than The Offspring show I saw the night before). Setlist below:

Turn Up The Bright Lights
Good
Misunderstood
Blacklight
A Lifetime
All In
Extra Ordinary
Absolutely, Still
King Of New Orleans
Sincerely, Me
At The Stars
Laid [James cover]
Nightclubbing ["Boom Boom Pow" intro]
Juicy
Desperately Wanting
-----encore------
The Loveless
Let My Love Open The Door [Pete Townshend cover]
In The Blood [w/bits of "Ain't Talking About Love" by Van Halen]

Looks good. I wanted to see them when they were in St. Pete a few weeks ago, but I couldn't make it. I saw them once about 7 years ago and they were pretty awesome.

Haha I should have went to this. Hate, hate, hate Alive at 5 though.

Seemed fine to me, did you have a bad experience one time? I'm actually really looking forward to going back there next week for Tonic.

BTW, you from Stamford originally?

I really miss this band. I haven't seen them in over a year, missed them when they were around here a couple weeks ago.
The set list looks awesome!

had you seen them before? Just wondering how the new drummer is. I haven't seen them since the original left.

Jealous. I wanted to see the NYC show, but my brother's graduation was that night.

Yeah, I missed the NYC show because I was at the Phoenix show at Terminal 5 that same night.

Well, I don't know about the Train part, but they're basically a post-college rock band that had a few big hit's in the 90's and have a devoted following throughout the country. Here's a few songs to look into:

A Lifetime (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ2QT88m_nk)
Desperately Wanting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9-FD5un87M)

They sound pretty similar as a comparison to me, but whatever. I like BTE much better anyway. Good choice on A Lifetime there, it's probably my favorite song by them.

i live in stamford and this year the town stepped their shit up and got actually well known bands (smash mouth, bo bice, tonic, BTE)...not that I bump any of these bands but thats still big

the last alive at 5 this summer is sugar ray with fastball...if this was the 90s thatd be such a huge show, im def gonna try to go to that at least cuz i loved sugar ray back in the day
