Yup... used to love it. From the first time I heard the demos back in early 04 until about late 06 I could always give AFYCSO a listen. Not so anymore.

Im actually liking it. And it IS just a demo.

But I'm so confused, first they said that it sounded like pretty odd except with some more beach boys influence.
Now its a natural progression from AFYCSO?
So is it like, the progression from afycso to pretty odd, or the progression from afycso if pretty odd didnt exist.

AAAAAaaaand, if ryan was writing for the new album before, what are they going to do about the album now if they're changing their sound? How did they get this demo out so fast?

Its good in the sense that it sounds like AFYCSO, and I liked AFYCSO. Back when it was "new" though. They were high up on my list... then Pretty.Odd. happened. If I wanted to listen to The Beatles I'd listen to them, do not need a shitty imitation.

Honestly, I would've liked Pretty.Odd. if it came from a band that had that general sound their whole time. And I understand bands "change", but I think the switch from Fever to P.O. was too much.

This. I know it's only a clip of a demo, but presuming the whole album sounds like this it'd just be a regression. Even if it is more in the same vein as Fever, I'd be disappointed if they didn't at least make a tangible effort to develop that sound.

This. I enjoyed the direction they went with Pretty. Odd., so this sort of return to their first album's sound doesn't interest me at all. Ryan is a much better vocalist anyways, so I'll probably check out whatever he does and forget about this band.

I don't think that there was ever an official announcement. Everybody just thinks it implies that they're revisiting the Fever sound, and that it was a fuck you to Ryan.

No i absolutley LOVE pretty odd. i am very exicted to hear what ryan has in store for everyone. I think the direction they went with that ablum was a great move.
I still like panic but i think that ryan's new band will be better.

The clip is farrrrrrrr too short to really grasp a proper feel, but it is catchy. I liked both Fever and Pretty, but I felt like a third album with Ryan would've meant that he would've sang more or introduced a more mellow sound.

I actually really like what I heard. It is definitely different from Fever and Pretty. Odd., but I really like it. I really like how they changed the style between the first two albums, and I'm really looking forward to this new one. I may be getting too far ahead of myself, but so far, it sounds good.

I don't think "oh glory" is actually going to be on the album that the "new" Panic! at the Disco is working on. Someone in a meet and greet asked Brendon about it and he said they weren't finishing it or something like that. I'm also fairly certain that the new album won't be a complete regression back to AFYCSO. I'm sure that the album will be its own unique sound, different from both AFYCSO and Pretty. Odd.
