honestly the only thing i really dont like is the effects on his voice, he has such an amazing voice and the clarity in it has so much desperation and urgency. when you put to much effect on it, it almost takes the life out of it for me. Ive been a fan of Thursday before anyone knew who the fuck these guys were. Their new single, I feel, is not as great as some of their older work. Ive tried to let it grow on me, but Im still feeling like its too poppy....their indie feel is gone and thats what made them stand out from all the other hardcore/post hardcore cookie cut bands. I just hope the rest of the album isnt like this

that I definitely have to disagree with... the parts that are clean sound like him. The parts where they add effects seem a bit heavy on the effects end, and definitely alters his voice's sound.

i wasnt totally sold until the "its much to late to call the doctor" part. every part in that 5 seconds is amazing. this song, i feel, is slightly different than most thursday songs. geoffs voice sounds a tad more polished than normal, but not much different from the other cds. and if you listen to this and write the new cd off, than you havent heard "at the velocity", "ATV" is a demo and it captures everything good about thursday and makes it better. this cd is gonna be cd of the year. brand new can blow me.

That's the first thing I thought of when I heard his voice. Definitely some parallels to Adam Lazarra in the chorus.

I think the song is good. I must say there are parts where his voice doesnt sound the same like they added distortion and reverb to his voice or something. I also agree that the bass seems a little heavy but its also a very compressed version to make it easy to download and stream so this doesnt change my anticipation for the cd. it might not be as good as Full Collapse or War all the Time but im sure it will still be a good cd.

I agree with this statement 100%. I couldn't help but think that they needed to ease up a bit. All the players are playing as hard as they can with no room to let the song breath.
