He sat next to me on the busstop bench and he look like he'd been crying for a long time because his eyes were all red, puffy, and teary.
Well, he looked at me, and I said, "Hello." He sat down, and we just chatted for about 10 minutes while waiting for the bus. Not about anything important. Just basic bullshit, the weather, favorite music, movies, blah blah blah...well when the bus came, he asked me if I had a quarter to spare. I gave him a $5 dollar bill.

His smile was anough to make it worth it. I don't think anyone had been that nice to him in years.

I feel good about that. That is all.

But age normally leads to conservative views, so the more "life" a person experiences the more conservative they are. Thats why most teens that are ultra liberal now, will be more conservative or more in the middle of the political spectrum when they start to experiences the real world and have a family of there own.

I think your generalization about catholics might be a little off. I go to a catholic school and I am one of the few non republicans. Catholics are typically pro-choice, and since thats part of the republican platform, most catholics tend to be republican (at least in my part of the midwest.)

they used to be mean, like, 40 years ago. When my dad was young, the nuns would make him cry. He was like, 9 years old. Now it is different. I used to want to go to public school, but, at least at the school I go to, its small, and theres a huge sense of community. Its an all-girls school, and theres a boys' school right next door. My bro went to the boys school, and so did all my uncles, and my aunts went to my school. its a legacy thing, and everyone gets along well, so I think I'm sending my kids to private school once I have them. I hear horror stories about public school.

Farmers are not mostly Democrats, there mostly Republicans, that is why in most rural areas there isn't even a Democrat on the ballot for local and state elections.

46-54 is not a close vote. A 40/60 is considered a landslide victory. I know it sounds close, but just letting you know that it isnt. And Catholics TEND to be republicans due to pro life, yes. But again thats not the entire reason. Catholics are religious obviously and conservative beliefs are tied in closely with Christian beliefs, which would make a Catholic lean towards the right side.

46-54 is not a close vote. A 40/60 is considered a landslide victory. I know it sounds close, but just letting you know that it isnt. And Catholics TEND to be republicans due to pro life, yes. But again thats not the entire reason. Catholics are religious obviously and conservative beliefs are tied in closely with Christian beliefs, which would make a Catholic lean towards the right side.

I think Catholics vote Democrat for other reasons. Again, the ones I know, vote Democrat because they believe Democrats have other good points (not sure which ones they have) and those outweigh Pro-Life. Again, I am speaking of the ones I know personally.

My Granddad held a political position as Democrat and he is a devote Catholic.
