Desperation will air as a 3 hour miniseries starting May 18 on ABC...my guess is that if it's a hit, The Regulators will be right behind. Also, the following books are in some stage of production:

The Talisman
Black House
Creepshow Remake
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
1408 (from Everything's Eventual)
From A Buick 8

EDIT: the bag of bones movie (for now at least) isn't going to happen.

I thought they were making that one a movie?

no, i haven't gotten the chance to pick it up, but i'm just going to wait for a paperback.

But the only book I have ever read by Stephen King was The Stand and that was excellent.

I'm currently reading the Langoliers, about 100 pages in, and I'm really enjoying it. I heard it was made into a crappy TV movie, so maybe I'll have to hunt that out once I'm through.

yeah, it was awful. most of his movies are bad, and not just because the books are better
