These three artists I was more or less "raised" on. However I can't say who I like better.

If you wish, I threw in the "Other" option.

Post why.

Without a doubt Tom Petty!

Tom Petty as I have never been able to get into any music by Springsteen and I pretty much hate U2 apart from a few songs.

If anyone beats out Tom Petty, it should be The Boss. That is an acceptable defeat in my mind.

I went with U2, Bono is a bit of a douche but their old stuff is awesome.

I don't mind any of them. But I think I enjoy Tom Petty the most.

These 3 are fantastic though.

Also, when the title is U2 vs Tom vs Bruce....why is there an "OTHER" option? haha.

Bruce and Petty are equal but I went Petty 'cause I expected there to be a lot of people voting Bruce...
I hate U2.

Bruce. Petty is a close second.

*shrugs* Sometimes people want it. Five people thought it was necessary, although no one said who was that "other."

Tom Petty. I love all three, but I grew up on Tom Petty and will always love him. Plus, he had a cameo in this movie called the Postman and it always makes me chuckle.

I've been listening to U2 the longest so I had to go with them. Their nostalgic value is just too great for me personally.

That's generally what I'm leaning toward.

I don't know why Other is in here. I doubt anyone on APnet's favorite band is one of these three.

I voted for Bruce. He and the E Street Band put on an amazing show. I've seen them live 5 times.

I've always heard about his shows, nearly every time with the joke, "You see Bruce doesn't realize you have to go home. He plays for hours."

I LOVE Petty, and Bruce is great live... but U2 takes the cake.

While I like a lot of Petty's lyrics, I'm not a fan of a lot of his songs.... the Boss wins this for me.

The Boss for sure...Springsteen has made much more of an impact on my life than U2 or Tom Petty.

Bruce Springsteen, if only for Nebraska.

I grew up listening to U2 all the time because of my parents, so I can get into their stuff. Mostly anything from Achtung Baby and prior.

Tom Petty hands down

Tom Petty, for some reason his music touches the soul. Bruce is great and all, but, he just doesn't have that same feel. U2 cant compare with either. At least thats my opinion.

Good one. I picked U2 (disregarding their recent material, and Bono being Bono). Older U2 is just hard to beat. The Boss is close behind them.

Tom Petty. My mom always listened to him when I was growing up and it really stuck with me.

Possibly the best cameo of anyone, ever.

From a tattoo to actually buying his albums (instead of downloading), I love all things Tom Petty. My dad listened to him (and almost only him) my entire childhood so I was constantly hearing it. He's by far my favorite artist and is leaps and bounds better than the other two on the poll (in my own opinion, at least).

Of course other, but I voted U2 out of these. I can't stand Tom Petty, and I'm not a Springsteen fan either.

The most recent U2 album is actually pretty great if you just take it for what it is, which is a good rock album.

I just found it boring when I listened to it back then. Went in without any high expectations (only expecting some good moments), but it still wasn't as great. To each their own though. Even How to Dismantle a Bomb had a couple of enjoyable tracks.

See, I love all three of these artists, so I wouldn't be able to compare them that much. U2 is the most different of the three and I wouldn't think that people would really compare them. Comparing Petty and Springsteen makes more sense.
