the battle for 8th between montreal, boston, toronto, and atlanta will be interesting. The first three teams play each other a few more times (I think the B's and Canadiens have 4 more) so it should come right down to the wire.

The last two times the NHL has come back from an Olympic break, all the teams in first place have stayed there... I would kill for a Rangers division title. Hopefully Henrik's olympic run has boosted his confidence and he'll be even more stellar for the rest of the season.

With hasek gone the sens will remain in second, obviously carolina first. Leafs will clearly choke (after watching last nights game) and get 9th or even 10th spot in the east. Probably Montreal will remain in the last playoff spot 8th. Vancouver and Calgary will remain in playoff contention in the west, and that's all i really care about.

As a Rangers fan, I'd love to say that they'll be the best team for the second half of the season. I don't think that they'll have the best second half, but I feel that they'll still win the division cuz they've been playing well lately and Philly's still a beat up team so it'll be tough for them to catch the Rangers. But as for the team with the best second half of the season, I'm gonna say that Montreal comes back strong in the East and Vancouver does the best in the West.

i still think kasper is awesome, but i may also be biased considering he started with the isles, the guy isnt that big and plays as tough as anyone in the league, he is the only guy in the league who can consistently execute hip checks, now and then he throws a cheap shot or two, but overall i just think he is a gritty defensman who i would love to have back on the islanders

I know he has a reputation for giving cheap shots but there are two things, one I'm almost positive he's never been suspended in his career and secondly I just don't think he's much worse than some other players in the league.

i'm a rangers fan too but even i'll admit that Kasparitis can be a douche bag most of the time. not like he's to blame 100% of the time, but maybe like 95% of the time, haha.
