This movie is going to redefine cinema as we know it. This movie is going to be the most important film of the 21st century. This movie is about snakes. This movie is about planes. This movie is about what happens when one is on the other.

This movie is Snakes on a Plane.
As if this wasn't amazing enough, we also have a stellar cast, led by one of the greatest thespians of our time: Samuel L. Jackson. This man needs no introduction. He's been in every movie ever made. He's made shouting into an art. I'm not sure exactly what he's going to do in this movie, but I can tell you this: Samuel L. Jackson doesn't take crap from anybody. Especially snakes. Especially when they're on his goddamn plane.

Sometime in the last day or two the IMDB entry for Snakes on a Plane suddenly had a new acronymic title: S.O.A.P. (http://imdb.com/title/tt0417148/). Searching for “Snakes on a Plane (http://imdb.com/find?s=all&q=snakes+on+a+plane)” no longer brings you to the right page. Scary, eh?
Writing this blog has brought into contact with a few people who actually know what’s going on in Hollywood. A few emails to these people confirmed that the movie had NOT attempted another name change (http://www.snakesonablog.com/2006/01/13/snakes-on-a-title/) (as some (http://www.snakesonablog.com/2006/03/02/snakes-on-dialogue-ii/#comment-212) had feared). I was told that the Snakes on a Plane title is “locked in” and “absolutely” would not change. IMDB is just playing some weird games.
