I was thinking today about how these two topics are the only things in the world that get me REALLY riled up.

There are 3 teams I'll go crazy for, the Tarheels, the ChiSox, and the Lakers.

When the Lakers traded Shaq I was irate, but when USC lost in the Rose Bowl, it was just kinda like "Oh shit. Well that sucks"

We had a speaker at our college that said sports are being dominated by the left wing, and he's trying to bring the right back in athletics. I thought that this thread was gunna be about that and i was sorely disappointed. My roommate and I had so much fun making fun of that

I hate politics. I get riled up when people make uneducated comments about a band or their music.

And the irony is that doesn't really bother me .. but someone says, "I like bush" - and the vein in my head pops.

Im moderate right wing and i've noticed this too. I'm not sure if you can connect it to politics, but it seems as if sports are a bigger part of life in more democratic states....except for football which is big every where in the states.

BTW, you'd be real pissed if you live here. Starting on the Varsity football team at the local highschool is based upon who their daddy is, IE, son of the booster club leader is a total pussy but he started every game as a junior and senior. I transfer schools and trucked his ass four times in the same game. Just a fun fact.
