Bamboozle (www.thebamboozle.com) recently added a slew of bands to the festival. Check the Bamboozle Myspace.com (www.myspace.com/thebamboozle) page for specifics.

I can not believe people are complaining. I think this is way better then last year. Saves The Day, Lifetime, John Ralson, The Fall Of Troy, Poison The Well? Come on... There is plenty of good bands. Stop complainingggggggg.

damn that was a disapointing update...i assumed that since the bamboozle was at a bigger venue this year that they would have bigger, better bands. guess not
I still hope they make more band announcements, and hope they add angels and airwaves, jacks mannequin, the starting line, early november, or something corporate... but i think they are only gonna be adding like 10-15 bands cuz the lineup is getting pretty full

what? how can you complain, that sunday line-up is sick as hell, i cream myself just looking at it.
Glad I bought a two day pass. This seems WAY better than warped so far. It was worth the $400 I paid...every cent

They have about 4 platinum selling artists and 8 gold selling artists on the bill... how much bigger would you like?... Ashlee Simpson? Black Eyed Peas? LL Cool J? In my opinion, Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, All-American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights and Method Man are as big as they can go, without having Kelly Clarkson and J-Lo playing...

what i meant was i thought they would have more bands playing like the fsf reunion last year- like maybe angels and airwaves first U.S. show, or maybe brand new's first show in 2 years....shit like that

Brand New got an offer to play, but they turned it down because they refused to play a show under Taking Back Sunday or Fall Out Boy headliners. Angels And Airwaves also turned down the offer to play, however, they are 99.9% confirmed to support a Taking Back Sunday tour in the near future (U.S. tour). All of this stuff was out of Bamboozle's control, because they gave offers to most of the larger bands in this "scene", however, most of the offers fell through.

Where did you get this info from?
Where did you get this info from?
Jesus told me.
The Brand New stuff is common sense, I didn't even need to hear it from someone reliable to know that was the reasoning behind them not playing. Would you ACTUALLY expect the band to play under Taking Back Sunday?...Max Cruise shouldn't have even bothered asking. And as for the TBS/AVA tour...it'll be happening in early Summer, I'm sure more information about it will officially surface soon.

yeah i definatly foresaw an AVA, TBS tour but im really doubting AVA will be the opening act for TBS im thinking at the very least itll be co-headling definatly not AVA playing under TBS tom has to much pride

No way, if this TBS / AVA tour is indeed true, TBS will DEFINATELY be headlining. At least in my opinion.

see i dont really see it bc last blink american tour was with The Used and Taking Back Sunday as openers, and Tom definatly feels that AVA is a step up from blink which is why i see it as at least a co-headliner

It doesn't matter what "Tom thinks", it matters what the #'s are. It really has nothing to do with what band is better or how good AVA is compared to Blink. AVA aren't Blink, and they aren't a multi-platinum band yet. Record sales and how good a band can draw is what ultimately determines a headliner.

uhmm last i checked Taking Back Sunday wasn't a multi-platinum band either and im pretty confident AVA's release will out sell louder now

Taking back Sunday have sold over 1 million copies MORE then AVA thus far in their history as a band...
Also, tours arent organized based on "predictions", they go strictly by numbers at the current time. At the current time AVA has sold 0 copies of their album(s) and have played 0 shows in front of 0 people. That's what matters.
"Well, we think AVA's album will sell a lot, so we'll make them a headliner too"... it doesn't work like that.
Like I said before AVA aren't Blink, so don't say "Well, TBS opened for Blink, so TBS should open for AVA"... they're a different band, and it's not the same.

i just would like to know which bands the festival actually sent out invitations to and which ones said no because it seems alot of less credible bands are here this year...i see saves the day and other bands of the sorts but i dont really get excited when fall out boy and tbs are the headlining bands. i would like to see a few bands that i could look forward to hearing a song or two from an old album....how many of these bands have more then two releases if that?

It is a really good line up but I think the updates today were a little of a let down. Some of the bands I had never even heard of and I think I am pretty into the scene and I should have heard of the bands that are playing this festival.

but we LOVE to complain...You need to understand that there will always will be people who complain. I have gone the last two years but it has been just for the experience with friends, not really for the bands. Strike Anywhere, Paint it Black, Lifetime and STD will be nice to see though. Finally a couple punk bands.
