For the lazy people:

Just added a few new shows. There are some with the full seven piece line-up and a few acoustic with just John and I. There will be more added very soon so keep checking back. In other news. As of this coming week our new album "Welcome the Night" will finally be mixed, mastered and officially complete. The album will contain twelve songs, three of which we wrote in the last few months and decided to add to the record at the last minute. Although now after much necessary delay we are all very much anticipating the record's official July 2006 release and a full tour of the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to follow. New sound clips, photos, artwork and other information will be posted very soon. Along with the launch of a new website in additon to our Myspace. Expect all of this in the months to come. man i used to love the ataris so much. i don't know why some things just change.i hope this isnt a let down. i like how they change and progress each album, but hopefully it's a good change not like the eif to sla change.

I think the unanimous negative reviews of the clips on their myspace forced them to delay the record by going back to the studio and making a couple tracks that don't completely suck ass. I believe the few new tracks they added to the album will be the radio/catchy tracks on the album for MTV and Clear Channel to air.

Thats why I dont look at the new album as a new "Ataris" album as much as I look at it as Kris Roe's new band album. I really think he just wanted to start over, new name and all, on a new project but columbia wouldn't let him.
