i love the academy is, but goddamn this EP was horrible. whoever "produced" it, or had anything to do with the recording of it, should kill themselves. i'm 15 and i make better recordings than this.

you should apply to produce their next record than....

their album is produced pretty good, but that EP is seriously horrible. i'll apply to do their next digital ep though. okay. not really.

the quality on their EP was terrible. little to nothing done to the vocals, and just an overall ugly sound. i can see why this is an iTunes only EP. kind of a waste of money. and on the same note, i thought the quality of their LP could've been a lot better. it just didn't hit as hard as it does when they're live.

the EP wasn't meant to sound amazing.
if it was, it wouldn't just be digital, they would have taken the time + money to make it a pressed EP.
it was made for the fans, and that is pretty much it.
the fever is so fucking good.
the rest of it is good.
the academy acoustic live = so good and so fun.
butcher is a musical genius. end of story.

production has nothing to do with whether the music is good. Saves The Day's Im Sorry Im leaving EP production quality was not so great but still an amazing EP.

it can ruin the album though. i like the music on this EP, but i can't listen to it. i cry sometimes when i think about how much better Straylight Run's LP could've been had it not been for the shotty quality. several other examples too.
