I've liked all the directors except for Chris Columbus.
The cinematography in the last two films have been absolutely beautiful.

i liked the dark vision of three, so Alfonso, also because he did children of men

Cuarón - I may be biased as the 3rd is my favorite book, but it seemed like he took what was in my head while reading and put it on the big screen.

The first two are cheesy and a little boring. Columbus was the worst.

I went with Yates, 5 and 6 are fantastic, and extremely beautiful. Not to mention half blood prince has hilarious.
but Cuaron is a close 2nd

I have trouble on this, as I liked the original Dumbledore much more than the current one, and it influences my opinion of the whole movie.

The third movie was the best, although I hear the new one is really good as well.
Alfronso Cuaron wins this for me.

5 is by far the worst, what are you talking about? It was so boring, what could you have liked about that?

Alfonso, without a doubt.

Order of the phoenix is def. better than the rest. It starts to get dark and ominous. Other movies tried to do too much and were alright but not as good. (Plus the dude playing Harry Potter just has some atrocious acting in the first couple.)

Cuaron for sure. The third movie was the first that I saw and though "Wow! This movie LOOKS awesome."

this is tough. 6 had too many lame one liners.

People will pick Alfonso because in their opinion, Azkaban was the best movie, but as an overall director, I thought Columbus was brilliant. Can't wait to see The Lightening Thief.

Yates - I love 6, it reminds me of LOTR at times though. I felt that, in the cave, there were at least 2 points in the LOTR trilogy that influenced him/it/whatever.

Wrong. The third and fourth are much more dark and ominous than the fifth (and far more entertaining), and it's also the movie that tried to do too much, which resulted in the movie not flowing together and becoming extremely boring.

Although I would contribute the shift in tone to Curon, I think Yates has been the best to handle the series.

i went with cuaron; poa was the best executed film of the series to me. i think yates is the worst, and i'm actually upset he has the 7th book movies, i loved book 7. the half blood prince was pretty good, but he did a piss-poor job with order of the phoenix imo.

I'd say Yates because I think he did a good job at making the longness of the fifth book easier to watch, though I was a little irked at how dark the sixth book while the movie was really funny and light-hearted. So maybe Cuaron even though I voted Yates.

Even thought I really disliked the 5th movie, I'm going to have to go with Yates. His directing style is awesome.

I did struggle between him and cuaron, though.

The movies suck, but I can tolerate the first two. Just read the books; much better.

Alfonso Cuarón.

the third movie is the best and the fifth might be my second favorite. I think the fourth is the worst though.

Anybody that directs Home Alone and Mrs. Doubtfire, directs the first 2 Harry Potter movies.

Make sense of that shit.
