View Full Version : Major has Deployment Orders revoked

U.S. Army Major Stefan Frederick Cook filed an order asking for legitimate confirmation that his Commander in Chief was legitimately in Office, giving him his orders to Deploy to Afghanistan with his unit.

Today in a stunning development, the Military rescinded those orders.

This has set a precedent heretofore unknown. The entire US Military can now not only question it's orders, a requirement of their duty when they believe that an order is given illegitimately, but can expect that their orders will also be rescinded should they question the legitimacy of the CIC who is the ultimate Authority in Command. In other words, Obama.

WTF?

More like the Army wants to avoid a controversy?

Colbert described that man in one word; a coward. i am not sure how i feel though, why would they have rescinded the orders? seems strange...

I didn't give a view on this.. I just posted the link and a few lines.

But this could create a bigger controversy - if other "like-minded" people simply follow suit and refuse to be deployed.

that's what i don't get; couldn't everyone just do that, and not get deployed? or is that oversimplified...

they probably did it it because anyone who thinks Obama isn't a natural born citizen probably needs a mental health check up.

this will probably end up being a stupid PR move. they should of made him go, or revoked his deployment with some cause.

Sounds good. If we're rooting out some of the military for being openly gay, might as well let the racists take a hike too. Then once all the bigots are gone, we can let the gays back in so they can serve openly.

Problem solved.

They should court marshall him for being mentally unsound to serve, Togepi is spot on.

so...someone on kos (whatever, it's on free republic too) is reporting that the dude lost his civilian job over this. apparently he worked for a company that had contracts with the DoD and the Dept said they weren't comfortable with him working on anything dealing with them.

Now the LA Times are actually arguing that it would be easier to amend the Constitution than for Obama to just produce the long-form Birth Certificate.. and end the madness.

"It's the Constitution that seeds this lunacy, and yes, the Internet allows it to grow. But amending the natural-born clause out of the Constitution (which The Times' editorial board supports (http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/editorials/la-ed-citizenship16-2008dec16,0,3711597.story)) would remove that seed (plus be more fair to millions of naturalized U.S. citizens, and leave our country better off)."

Do they really want Arnie as the next President?

Why is a long-form birth certificate being used as the basis for reasonable doubt? It's existence was already proven.

As for 'ending the madness', 1) Obama already did, 2) he's not required to kowtow to every demand made of him by the fringe. Let his opponents out themselves as the racists they are by continuing to push the issue.

people who hate on obama because they don't think he is a legal US citizen are just too stupid to disagree by means of political differences.
