I like this pictuer a lot, its pretty trippy. I like that its a real dude, maybe it could mean that they "fleshed" the songs out more. Get it?

I'm for re-releasing albums, but only ones which are worth doing so to. Bands like Bad Religion, Pennywise and Refused deserve their albums remastered and re-released in my opinion, but re-releasing an album not even a year old? I don't see the point.

I liked the idea of remaking the old artwork with real people.....but this just looks ridiculas, if they made it realistic and the same concept but without the cheezy-cheap tv show set cartoony factor it would have been good.
This easily could have been great but they failed.

and how is that a rip off of MCR cover? Because theres a real person on the cover? Its the Everglow cover, with a real person, and a little bit of changing the art around to make it more lifelike.

I am so sick of re-releases. Seriously, enough already. The music scene is getting worse than unrated dvds. Why don't they just put this shit on the original pressing? And seriously, who's going to watch 'tour footage'?
Also, adding shit to an album takes away from the point of it. The Everglow is a story-type thing and adding unnecessary songs to it fucks up the rest of it.

I really dislike this cover, the art on the everglow was amazing, This looks like a cheap televesion show set.
I agree, they should've just stuck with the original everglow artwork (which is some of the best i've ever seen) and not spoilt it with this cheap & tacky looking shit.

Personally, I think the new cover looks awesome. It's not meant to replace the original artwork, it's just putting a new spin on it. They also said the CD would contain new artwork, so I'm sure there will be more drawings as well. As for everyone whining about the re-release...I don't see what's so bad with it. They're including new songs and a dvd with tour footage, music videos, and interviews, which for any Mae fan...is awesome. That's what makes Mae such a cool band in my opinion, is that they share their experiences with their fans as much as they can, either through dvds, their website, or meeting them at their shows. And a re-release seems like a pretty good idea, seeing as how they're touring with Yellowcard all over the country, and that will bring in thousands of new fans who will be buying the re-released version and getting a better value, not to mention getting to know the band better through the included DVD.

Yes, because no other band in the entire world has ever released DVDs with tour footage, interviews or music videos. No other band has released updates and vids through their web site. And no other band meets their fans at their shows. Wow, Mae is so cool and original. :rolleyes:
