I have a friend who watched this at a screening with Drew Barrymore last month. Her review was published this week:

I trust her opinion. In a conversation though, she told me Ellen Page wasn't remarkable. It's not very different from her personality in Juno.

Anyone else catch this today? Personally, I thought it was great. The whole cast (minus Jimmy Fallon) was terrific, and the entire thing was very believable. When I first heard about this film I had no interest in seeing it, and it turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. Drew Barrymore showed she has what it takes to direct, and I cannot wait to see what she does next.

I also loved how Bliss' relationship wasn't predictable cause I thought she would have accepted his apology at the end.

I think Alia Shawkat as Pash and Andrew Wilson as Razor were top notch. I was wondering the entire time why Andrew has Owen Wilson's voice and delivery...never knew the Wilson's had another brother that was an actor.

Drew Barrymore used to date Fabrizio from The Strokes and Little Joy, so I'm thinking that might be part of the connection...I was really glad they chose "Unattainable," that's definitely my favorite Little Joy tune. Would've liked to hear "Automatic Stop" by The Strokes, but I can't complain - this movie had great music overall. There were something like 75 songs used in the film, mostly cool indie rock.

As for the movie itself, I think it was about what I expected - some good fun, but had heart, too. Pleasantly surprising was Kristen Wiig - she always annoys the hell out of me but was pretty good in this movie.
