First Few Jays
Minus the Bear- Menos El Oso
Dear and the Headlights- Drunk Like Bible Times
Modest Mouse- We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
When Really Baked
Electric President- S/t
Radical Face- Ghost
mewithoutYou- It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright.
Annuals- Be He Me
Good Old War- Only Way to be Alone
The Shins- Wincing the Night Away
Frightened Rabbit- Midnight Organ Fight
Interpol- Antics
Anathallo- Floating World
Please list other albums that would be good high.
Note: Don't fill this thread with how "drugs are bad"...it's not clever, i just want a nice peaceful thread with awesome music being suggested.

Good music, for being high on the good herb.
Well, if you have no shame; Wolfmother.
For meditation, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, and God is an Astronaut (Sorry if those were cookie-cutter responses) also, Sigur Ros.
That's all I have so far, off the top of my head.
If we're talking about specific albums by each artist: Wolfmother has one album out (Self-titled); GY!BE, my personal favorite is Yanqui U.X.O., F#A#Infinity tends to freak me out. EitS: The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place. As for GIAA, any works fine. Sigur Ros, find ( ), or the Brackets Album.
Hope I helped, and I will be reporting back with more music kind sir.

juturna is amazing, and avalon is a great album, just something different, yet still excellent.
as for PTM album i would start with "waiter, you vultures". it was their first, and we all know first is usually the best. but really, all their albums are great, im seeing them in hannover next week.

..but they are. To be honest, if you didn't say no "drugs are bad" posts, I would have never even posted in the first place.

no they're not, drugs are quite often life-saving.
wait, so you're that much of a chile? you saw me say don't write drugs are bad so you did? with an attitude like that, how are you not on copious amounts of drugs?
this is such a harmless thread, now go away if you don't blaze up to music

Anyone would have said it at some point regardless of age so to call me a child in that sense is absurd. I only came into the thread because it was on the homepage, I'm not here to debate whether drugs are good or bad.
...and the only life saving drugs are that of the medicinal kind, not recreational ones.

no it's not absurd, what you did was childish, you saw that someone said "don't do it" so you did it= childish. so how can you possibly have a problem with people taking drugs?
you said drugs are bad, i corrected you, now you can giiit out. unless you have some stoner music suggestions; in which case you are welcomed with open arms

Again, someone ten years older than me would have done the same. That's how things go around here.
Heavy Heavy Low Low
The only time I ever listen to trance/house w.e. is when I'm high.
I don't smoke, but I think Animal Collective would be excellent for this.
Also, The Flaming Lips.
Don't smoke but I'd still recommend Elephant Stone and early Animal Collective.

I am craving a new MGMT record, because I am wearing this one so thin lately. great music, greater when high.
oh yeah!
and Beach House - Devotion is a good album if you can dig real slow, relaxing music. Grizzly Bear - Veckamist is another album like this. very complex, layered music, good for stoners to pick apart with their brains.

Anything ambient, well that's what I prefer anyways.

one more thing...
I love listening to "old" music when I'm stoned. *especially* on vinyl. there is a certain atmosphere or else, "feeling" it creates that is un-matched by anything else.
but really, if you haven't listened to these bands/albums whilst high, do yourself a favor and live:
Jefferson Airplane - surrealistic pillow
best of Buddy Holly (yep)
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush (A MUST)
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited
Jimi Hendrix - electric ladyland (the first track scares the shit out of me)

Wow, I apparently have the music taste of a stoner without actually being one.

Same here most of the time haha. My friends tend to ask me for albums if they are gonna get stoned. But I don't smoke .

This is the truth.
Post-rock and crazy electronica is good as well.
Mono, Bibio, Crystal Castles, Broken Social Scene, Isis, Dan Deacon, and if you really want to trip out try Skinny Puppy or Squarepusher.
Also, I hate Animal Collective while sober, but while high it makes for good listening.

Lol, I don't post enough to know who you're talking about, but, yeah, it's good stuff. You have to love the videogame-like noises that they use and the distorted voices. I wish I could find more bands similar to them.

I wish my friends who I smoked with listen to the same music as me because of all these sound awesome to be stoned to.
My friends and I mostly like to jam and make up our own songs while we're high. The last time I smoked all I wanted to do was listen to Animal Collective's "My Girls." Haha, but I normally listen to reggae dub type music. Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, any and all Marleys, etc or classic rock. Stereotypical, maybe, but damn awesome.

Ah, that sucks. 10 gigs enough space for quite a few more albums at least. Can't you buy a cheap external HD to use while you're there?
I don't mind Florida. I hated it at first, but I've grown used to it. I do miss cold northern winters and being able to see the change of seasons, though. I'm going to FAU right now. Where is USF? I haven't heard of that school for some reason.
Show is Germany?
Listening to Foals right now and I'm really enjoying them. I like the horns, odd guitars, and the vocalist.
But, now I must head out for work.

I was a big starting line fan back in the day and really wanted to like "Initial" as it seemed more my taste (now) and i thought "storms" was a cool track but found the rest of the album hard to get into and a bit too heavy at times (for my taste).
Also: I recently bought such fun after loving be he me (annuals) and that's going down smooth with a couple pie-sticks (is that a real expression? no-one uses it in england that i've heard, but i heard it somewhere...)

In highschool, the only schools I ever heard mentioned were UF and FSU and I've only been to Tampa twice, so that probably explains why I haven't heard of it. FAU is in Boca Raton. It's a smaller university, but it's been growing in size steadily. I don't have the means to move up north, so I'll have to settle with FAU for a while.
Everyone I talk to who has been to Europe has nothing but good to say about it. Damnit, I want to go there.
