ha sellout? that mother fucker has been doing stand up for like 10-12 years and god forbid he wants to make a lot of money while still doing his OWN comedy.....i hate the term sellout unless well someone actually sells out, but just because he's a big name now doesn't make him one, he worked hard for his fan base, by going on myspace and a bunch of other shit to promote

and on a side note, i'm traveling a LONG way to see Dane's HBO special in Boston.

Good for Dane Cook. I don't think he's overrated or that he sold out. I am just way sick of everyone overquoting him. He's the new Will Ferrel, oh well. I was at Tourgasm and he was hilarious, he deserves to make some bank.

I think the guy's pretty funny, but when people constantly quote him, it gets really old.... Kind of like Napolean Dynamite (which really sucked).

He's on Myspace? Well, he's got to be great then. Only people with good bands or people that are good comedians are on myspace. yup, myspace only promotes the best. it's a good thing that just not everyone and their brother can sign up to promote things that aren't good or even worth promoting.

I dont findt his guy funny. He tells cliche college humor jokes then uses alot of pysical humor to try to get the audience to laugh and he has better looks then some commedians. I watched the "comedy central presents" countdown. of course Dane cook was #1 cause it was fan voteing and hes part of ahuge trend, but like 6 or 7 of the top 10 acts were way funnier then him.

p.s. dane cook IS funnny. he has some really great jokes, but then he blows them up and makes them stupid and annoying by screaming and yelling. i hate him, but can be funny, when he doesn't try so fucking hard.

Whoever said that Dane Cook is unfunny, you're terribly wrong. Saying he's not funny is like saying that Fall Out Boy's not catchy. Yeah, both are overrated, but they're both very good at what they do.

Dane Cook's going to break with the pressure.

I was at the ETID/BTBAM/Bleeding Through show yesterday, and before Bleeding Through came on, they played "Someone just shit on the coats" and then the whole crowd started repeating dane cook jokes, it was funny and at the same time overly annoying.

I love the man though.

How could you possibly call him a sellout? Just because he's become insanely popular and is making lots more money then he did back in the day doesn't mean he's a sellout by any means. Selling out is changing what you do or sacrificing something you love just to make a buck. He has been doing the same stuff his entire career. I do agree that it was more enjoyable to watch him back in the day when you didn't have to hear his jokes left and right from random people, but I still feel that you can't take that out on him. He's done nothing wrong to be called a sellout.
