Alright so since Harry Potter is no longer continuing I need a new book series for young adults that would appeal to an 18 year old. I am not going to get into twilight because that series has already ended also. Does anyone have any good recs for a book series that has just started or is still continuing for an 18 male? help out please I need something to read.

You know, there are plenty of great books that aren't part of a series that you could read. Just a suggestion.

Try reading something by Chuck Palahnuik.
Or Dean Koontz. He has The Moonlight Bay Trilogy, if you need a series, but the third book isn't finished.
Irvine Welsh is a great read, and he has recurring characters; Trainspotting and Porno is the sequel. He's writing a prequel, Skagboys, but it's not out yet.

Most (all?) of Bret Easton Ellis' books have recurring characters.
