There may be a thread for this already, but concept albums are totally epic. :viking:
My favorites are:
American Idiot
Year Zero
The Black Parade
Razia's Shadow: A Musical
21st Century Breakdown
anybody else got any?
oh god Razia's Shadow. That's when I left AP for a while when that viral shit storm started.
I would consider Dog Problems by The Format a form of a concept album. So I pick that.

The Antlers - Hospice
It's a concept album about a man taking care of a mentally and physically ill woman. It's amazing.

oh, i say it plenty. it's just that everyone in there is saying stuff like that and i prefer discussion to group worship. i really find the separation between my appreciation for ...is a real boy and my disdain for max bemis to be interesting.

Despite a lot of people not enjoy Zao's later work, The Funeral Of God was an interesting concept.
I really dig Brian Wilson's 'Lucky Old Sun' album.

But if you're going to throw out The Wall you have to mention Dark Side of the Moon as well.

It really is a great concept album. Depressing, but very good.
I'm pathetic. Since I first heard it, I've been seizing every opportunity to plug this band.

Oh, shit, yes. I forgot about Trainwreck. I loved that album when it came out a few years ago. Played it constantly.
And I'll second the Murder by Death recommendation.

Other than the actual recording, I've always thought Dark Side is over rated... Although I know I'm one of the only people in the world to think this.

Interesting concept or not, I just don't like that album. Sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority, but The Fear is What Keeps Us Here is probably my favorite of their albums.
Oh, and I love your avatar. David Crowder is the man.
It really is a great concept album. Depressing, but very good.

Ha, nothing wrong with constant plugs. Could be worse. You could be plugging your own band, lol. Yeah, I guess I need to just get that CD already. Not sure why I haven't yet.

I'm sure this is a fantastic album, but that's the most boring concept I've ever heard.
The only concept album I ever really listen to is Save the World by Supermayer, in which Techno producers Michael Mayer and Superpitcher team up to fight monsters or something ridiculous like that. It makes for a fun live show.
Sam's Town?
EDIT: anything by the Hold Steady?
