I have been listening to Yellowcard recently and I want to know what you guys think. I have been istening to them so much that I even write a blog about it, if you want to check it out. Just to let you know, I voted for Paper Walls, even though Rough Landing Holly is one of my favorite songs. Paper Walls is such a complete album to me, though. Also, I know I don't recognize the first two Yellowcard albums and that is for three reasons: 1) Ryan Key wasn't a member at the time. 2) All of the original members left except L.P III. (Sean isn't recognized as a member of the band on the first album) 3) I pretty you can't find the first two albums in the first place, so if you have the first, even the third, keep on to it and you might make some money off of it.

Not that I'm complaining, but wasn't expecting Lights and Sounds to be leading

I've loved Ocean Avenue forever, it was one of those albums that got me into music back in middle school.

Ocean Avenue. All of Yellowcard's albums bring a different side of the band. They are one of the few bands today that can (could :-( ) evolve and be great at it. One For The Kids shows the future of the band, songwriting abilities and lots of potential. Ocean Avenue puts power and a professional look to the band. Lights and Sounds dims away from pop, and focuses on a musically whole album. Paper Walls marches back to their Pop Punk upbringings and shows just how solid the band is. They all have their strengths, although not neccesarily weaeknesses. It's hard putting one last because you know they should never end up last on ANY list. Ocean Avenue starts out with the Power Punk/Pop and ends with heartfelt songs. Paper Walls is solid the whole way through. One For The Kids is the least of an "album" in the way it seems the songs are thrown together, while Lights and Sounds is just the opposite although sometimes it lacks energy.

1. Ocean Avenue
2. Paper Walls
3. One For The Kids
4. Lights and Sounds

Ocean Avenue was really the only thing they released worth listening to. And that album was mediocre at best.

Did you check out Paper Walls? I don't know if that album will change your opinion, but if you haven't, it's definitely worth listening to.

You should be complaining though, it's obviously the worst album they have put out. Used to like them a couple years ago when i was into that sorta music, Paper Walls is the best album they have put out, although i could see how some like Ocean Avenue better.

I voted for Paper Walls simply because the album works so well as a whole. And has some seriously awesome tracks.

Now I can't believe Paper Walls is getting smoked. My personal favorite.

Ocean Avenue is my favorite, but Paper Walls and One For the Kids are great as well. Lights & Sounds is just alright, but it has some good tracks nonetheless.

I'm kind of surprised it isn't a closer fight between Ocean Avenue & Paper Walls.

i voted for ocean avenue. but i thought paper walls would still be up there. i didn't expect lights and sounds to be ahead of it.

One For the Kids...I remember the day the album got delivered to the door during a blizzard, I already had Ocean Avenue but they haden't yet blown up, OFTK brought summer in the heart of winter and established them as my fav band for awhile...I still think they got too huge too fast though and the bandwagon didn't know what to think of a more mature/less commercial album like Lights and Sounds

Ocean Avenue was my favorite album in sixth and seventh grade! I sorta lost interest in them after that though, I should try to get back into them...

1. one for the kids
2. ocean avenue
3. paper walls

I didn't like lights and sounds at all. One for the kids was the first one I heard, and it was fucking awesome. All three of these are very close for me.

ocean avenue,
because i think it's one of my favorite albums forever.
but i don't really get why the majority seems not to like lights and sounds.
it's different from what they put out in the past, to that time, but it was still yellowcard.
and i rather like bands that try to evolve their music (i actually think that this was what they were trying with l&s) than bands that only copy themselves.

Ocean Avenue is a great release and it really broke them into the mainstream, which is awesome, but it's in third place behind Paper Walls and Lights and Sounds. I thought Paper Walls was their best effort to date, and the raw, darker, heavier, if I may, contents of Lights and Sounds really blew me away. I think I'll be the first to say I like Lights and Sounds more than Ocean Avenue.

It was difficult to decide between Paper Walls and Ocean Avenue. Picked Ocean Avenue, because it was my first contact with this awesome band.
