this sort of goes along with what you said, but its also the nature of the fans. I could be very wrong, but I would say its improbable that fans of Ne-Yo, or most other hip hop/r&b, are as prevalent on internet message boards as fans of HH are. And definitely not flooding mIRC or torrent sites looking for leaks. Could just be my experience, but my friends of hip hop have no idea what an album leak or a torrent is. They don't live on "absolutehiphop.net" message boards. Whereas my friends who are "punk" fans visit ap.net daily, have a forum name, and spit out Jason Tate's words in normal conversation and pass them off as their own.

Don't know if that makes sense. It makes sense in my head.
