And following the trend of the last few minutes, here's the tracklisting for Brandtson (http://www.purevolume.com/brandtson)'s new album, Hello, Control - in stores 05.02.06. (Remind Me (http://www.absolutepunk.net/calendar.php?do=addreminder&e=447)) This album and Rock Kills Kid (http://www.absolutepunk.net/rockkillskid)'s new album were shockers for how much I am loving them at the moment.
1) A Thousand Years
2) Earthquakes & Sharks
3) Denim Iniquity
4) Here We Go
5) Goodnight Sweet Prince
6) Nobody Dances Anymore
7) Cold War
8) Parallels
9) Friend or Faux
10) Lie to Me
11) Stop Machine
12) Tapping the Vain
13) The Secret
Too much great new music to listen to - I love my job. What a great Monday. - Jason Tate
The new Rock Kill Kids surprised me greatly.
Some people are going to pass them off as another 80's revival sort of band, and they may be--but to me it sounds like they do it best.

"Nobody Dances Anymore" I think is a little overdone. The song titled definitely fits w/ the vibe of the song though. My fav song is "Earthquakes and Shakes."

I'm real excited for new Brandston.
Please, please tell me that was a typo. It's a pet hate of mine that people misspell Brandtson as 'Brandston' when it's plainly obvious what their name is.
I'm so excited for their new stuff, seriously.

Brandtson has a habit of naming one song on every release after a line from a Wes Anderson film, but for the life of me, I can't figure out which one it is this time. Although "Goodnight Sweet Prince" keeps jumping out at me for some reason... any help on this?

I think that might be from a copeland song... not sure... if it was i'm sure it was not intentional

What were their other ones?
Also, am I the only one who thinks 2006 is gonna kick 2005's ass in terms of music.

"Grace Thinks I'm A Failure" (Trying to Figure Each Other Out) "Some Kind of Jet Pilot" (Dial In Sounds) and "Ain't No Trip To Cleveland" (Death & Taxes) are all lines from Bottle Rocket, while "Margot" is a reference to The Royal Tenenbaums... but, come to think of it, I'm not sure if Fallen Star Collection or Letterbox have references in their song titles... so maybe Hello, Control doesn't either. Hmm...
