whats it like at your school ? are all the jocks and people like that considered the popular, cool ones...becuase my school is completely different from any other high school ive been told about, all my friends who go to other schools say that all the jocks and preppy kids are the so called 'cool' ones, but thats not how its like at ours.
we dont like to use labels for people and stuff, but at my school, nobody likes the jocks, and the punks and skaters etc. are the more popular people at our school. is anyone elses like that? out of total curiosity.

at my school it's on how a big a bitch or asshole you are. at least that's what it seems like. and punk has become popular. all the girls flock to the most "punk" guys. it's sick. this world is so fucked up.

The cool kids at my school are some jocks.. but its mostly surfers/boarders/skater thing at my school. All our sports teams blow.

there arent really 'cool kids' at our school...or at least not cool enough for me to care...and it always bugged me how in movies the 'popular' people were mean to everyone but their friends, if your 'popular' doesnt it mean people like you, and if your mean to people will they like you?? yeah and i dont know most of the people at my school cause i really dont care...its all girls so i just hang out with my friends and then ppl not from my school all the other times

since only a little over 300 people go to my school, everyone is popular. every person is basically the same, everyone dresses alike and listens to country music

I have a pretty small school. I guess there's your usual group of preps and then the punk kids then the black group. But everyone gets along pretty well. it's not too cliquey

There's just a bunch of different cliques at my school (like most others). There's the jock-cheerleaders that wear all Gap, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Express...all that stuff, then there's the hippies that smoke tons of pot, the band (as in trombone, flute, etc.) people, the people in punk bands, and the skater- stoners.
Hmm...I don't fall into any of those categories though.

I know this is a thread highjack, but the next 'punk' I meet that uses the word poser or queer is going to get beaten with a shovel. Do they have any idea how stupid that sounds? Or the intense irony of how they often judge someone as not punk enough based on their hair or clothing? Oh yeah, punk's all about nonconformity, but we all have to buy our plaid pants from Hot Topic and day glo hair dye from K mart so we can all look alike. Shit, I must have been asleep the day the memo was handed out giving us all a uniform and told us to take the 'attitude over attire' ethos behind the barn and put a bullet in it's head.

I think the cool people at my school are the ghetto wannabe middle class kids, and the kids who wisht they are punk. At least I have that much, they only WISH they were, they don't think they are. then there are the preps with the gigantic advertisements stretched across their boobs, and then there are some kids who are just sorta different. at my school there's still a buttload of jocks, and snobby preppy people, then you have a smaller group of the "preppier" people who are trying to be all punk...skater like, but it just isnt working out, there is a small group of non posers here.

My grandparents wanted me to go to a jewish school. I think it was so I could grow up to be an acoutant or doctor or dentist or lawyer or entertainer. But if I became an entertainer they would have to be a shamed of me and dis-own me. Any way. after years of them pressuring my parents to send me to a jewish school, I finaly told them I'm an athiest, and we left it at that.

One time I told my mom I didn't want to be a part of organized religion, and she freaked out and started wondering what i'd have to fall back on if something bad happened to me. I wonder what she would have done if I said I was an athiest? anyway, I've since decided that I like being catholic.

In the senior class, its the punks, and most of them really are punks and I dunno...
In my class, its the fucking retarded preps. They really are just gay, I hate them. Then a close second is a wigger group, usually the stoners too.
Soph class is a huge mix, and I find myself hanging with them a lot cuz I've known them all forever. There's "thugs" punks, "punks," and preps, and who knows what else.
The the freshman class are "punks" that are really annoying as fuck. Theres a whole herd of them that sit on the floor by my locker and i want to kick them in the fucking head. They are the ******s of the school. I wish they would really die. They tried to play baseball with a binder as a bat and a hacky sack, I took it and chucked it down the hall and they never come near me anymore. I won!
but who really cares? I just hate most of the kids, so I equally dsicriminate.

There's not really a 'cool' group at my school, but this one kid in particular that pretty much everyone thinks is cool and such. He's like a "freak" kinda guy and everyone calls him "Ozzy".

well.. at my school, we have a lot of groups that are the supposed "cool" kids... there's the rednecks that wear the abercrombie/AE stuff, then there's the rednecks that wear the Dixie Outfitters stuff. Then there's the normal people (well.. sorta normal... its a group of chicks that always hang out together...). Most of those are the supposed "cool" kids.. but then there's us... the group of people who go out a gazebo in the school grounds every morning and meet up just to do stupid shit to make ourselves crack up.. and we always have fun.. there's hardly ever a boring day w/ us... it seems like when you don't have perfect your preppiness or your wardrobe, you can just have a lot more fun.. and that's what we're all about... plus music... and a few people who watch a bit too much TV (coughcoughBENcoughTREYcoughcough). . hahahaha

i mostly hang out with guys. there is definately a bitchiness at my school, every girl wears a new shirt everyday, probobly cuz their parents dish out the money left and right, sorry but i earn everything i have and im proud of it.
and i hate when people say im punk, cuz it just shows how much they know. i listen to more than just punk music , but i guess people dont think punk is about music anymore. my opinion is that this whole "punk" trend is gonna go out of style just like all other trends. and im counting down
