If you like 1984, you should read Ray Bradbury's "Farhenheit 451". It is very similar to 1984.

i hope that the military was only looking to prevent a situation like the one that already happened, where one of their soldiers attacked their own men, intentionally. other than that, it is somewhat disturbing.

Personally, I do. I have read about a super computer called Echelon (spelling?). Supposedly it listens to everyone phone call, listening for certain words. You know, they could be reading our posts right now.

the computer searches for phrases like "bomb" and "the president", not "lets steal a car" and shit like that.
