I was reading this article in Slam magazine about if 1996 is the "Best" NBA draft class ever.
Some of the top players from that 1996 draft:
Marcus Camby
Stephon Marbury
Ray Allen
Kobe Bryant
Steve Nash
Kerry Kittles
Antoine Walker
Jermaine O'Neal
Zydrunas Ilgauskis
Walter McCarty
Allen Iverson
Peja Stojokovic
Shareef-Abdur Rahim
Malik Rose
Derek Fisher
Jerome Williams
..and a couple of other decent players.
Now that we kind of know this is the best draft in NBA history (arguably), what do you think is the best draft class (what year) in the other three major sports (NHL, MLB, NFL)?

NFL - depends on the position.
1983 - Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and John Elway was the draft for QB's
1996 was the draft for WR's - Keyshawn Johnson, Terry Glenn, Marvin Harrison, Eric Moulds, Terrell Owens all came out of this draft.
Other notables from 1996: Jonathan Ogden, Simeon Rice, Eddie George, Jeff Hartings and Ray Lewis went in Round 1. Lawyer Milloy, Mike Alstott, Mushin Muhammad and Brian Dawkins went in Round 2. Tedy Bruschi went in Round 3 (so did T.O.) and Stephen Davis and Jon Runyan went in Round 4. Joe Horn, LaRoi Glover and Zach Thomas went in Round 5.

yeah, i don't see how anybody can argue that 96 is better than this one. maybe in 10-15 years when everybody's career wraps up there'll be more backing. but right now 84 wins by a long shot.
