utterly horrendous idea. most bands on those albums kill songs that weren't all that great to begin with. the thing about michael jackson is that he was an absolutely perfectionist about his music, the way he wrote, performed & recorded his music was always the best possible way of achieving perfection for that particular recording, i.e. there is almost no other way his hits can be recorded & sound better. one of those artists where you just shouldn't touch his music

(Though I'll take The Fold's cover of "Billie Jean" over any covers done by Escape the Fate, Alesana, similar bands, hard/metalcore-wannabe bands, or any current Fearless Records act, even if you consider The Fold's cover to be nothing too special)

I understand what you are saying.. but how it went was at first that (his epic lines of selling things) was how he got his image created and got into that business.. but as time went on he realized people made fun of him, and I am sure he made fun of himself too... no one does it out of hate or anything, just out of good fun in remembering him, he was definitely one to stand out, that's for damn sure. Plus, people definitely care, no one doesn't care... that would be messed up, he will always be remembered.. but the poking fun part is just apart of it.
