Love both these bands. I cannot wait for ATAL. This story is kind of like when spiderman shows up in a Captain America comic. Its an ultimate team-up for all the ages.

THIS ALBUM IS INCREDIBLE!
I've been listening to the band since 2001 (back when they were Sundaze) and I love everything from the Sundaze demos, to the As Tall As Lions demos. Although "Lafcadio" is one of my favorite albums, I enjoyed the demos a lot more and was a bit let down overall. As a result of my semi-unsatifaction with "Lafcadio", I didn't know what to expect with from the forthcoming album (tentively titled "Skeleton Music"); when the band asked me to come check it out last Wednesday I was super excited to hear some new material. Let me just say this---I was completely floored. Dan's voice has matured so much and the production is world's above what O' Keefe was able to provide on "Lafcadio". This album is exactly what this "scene" needs right now and it can be enormous if kids can give it a chance.

Lafcadio is one of your favorite albums, but you were let down by it overall? Are you unsatisfied by all your favorite albums?

I had the chance to hear it too recently (as I posted about I believe) and I agree completely with Frank's statement. You'll definitely be hearing a lot about this release from us. Just wait until you hear "Love, Love, Love."

I heard that song live and it was really weak musically and vocally. It seemed like it was missing the sincerity of the band. However, the other new songs they played were spectacular. I am very excited for this album.

You're skewing what I said. I said "I was let down with the album...compared to the demos", which is completely different.
