Al-qaeda in Iraq

I heard reports today on the radio that British interrogators have confirmed that Iraqi soldiers have admitted that some of the Fedayeen and republican gaurd troops, in and around Basra, are memebers of Al-qaeda.

I don't know how reliable that is. Saddam and Osama are mortal enemies. I'm not doubting thats what you heard though. Do you have a link?

I didn't know they were enemies. Why?

yeah, i doubt Osama would have much of a problem when it comes to who kills americans. i know they don't share the same political/reigious views, but do you honestly think that if Osama could attack america with support from Saddam, he would say no?

like i said, i heard it on the radio, the DJ was making a big deal about how he predicted it last week. but i haven't been able to find any info about it on the web....maybe its not true, or they just don't want to run with the story until it is confirmed.
