Relient K (http://www.relientk.com)'s Mmhmm has been nominated for a Juno Award (the Canadian version of a Grammy) for "Best Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year." The awards will be handed out on the April 2nd from Halifax, Nova Scotia. A full list of nominees can be seen here (http://www.junoawards.ca/06_2006_nominees.php).

I thought you had to be Canadian to win a Juno. You do for most categories, at least.
Boys Night Out, New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, and Silverstein are also nominated, yet no nominations for Choke or Propgandhi... :(.
I got Mmhmm for $8 at best buy...I can honestly say it was worth it.

I know the singer is Canadian...so since maybe cuz he is the primary song writer, that then qualifies them? It puzzeled me a bit too. I was really hoping for a nomination for Choke myself too...Slow Fade is such a great album.
