I have had a bunch lately but I have on at Toys R Us on Friday and I really want it. I mean, its fucking Toys R Us! I've never been good with the interview thing. Every time I think I made a good impression, I never get the job. I need some tips on how to answer common questions and stuff like that.

being honest, but not too honest, helps.

and when they ask you about stealing items, say you are against it and if you ever caught an employee doing it, you'd report/fire them straight away. they always ask this, and if you respond anything other than throwing the book at them, they will not hire you.

Yeah, Ive been interviewed for two jobs, and made both. Just give them what they want to hear, and dress nice.

I dress nice, smile, get along with the interviewer well. I'm starting to think is my lack of job experience that is killing me.

Heres a tip dont do what my best friend did, he was gonna get a job at shoprite in the bakery. ( i work there as cashier) He answered a questoin wrong cause he read it wrong. .anyway it was something like Do you think it's a good idea to drink before or during work to relax? and he put yes.. what a dumbass.

(this was on like a 100 question test you have to take)

From my experience...

When they describe a situation to you and ask what you'd do in said situation, the right answer is NOT to get the manager. Apparently they want you to handle everything on your own.

I think... just maybe... I got the job. It seemed to go over very well. They said that they have some more interviews to do but they also said I seemed like a good canidate. The only thing they were iffy with is if I would quit because of lack of hours like I did my last job. I asked them if I got another job, could they work around those hours and they said it was no problem. So hopefully... they'll hire me. Ten hours a week is better than no hours a week.

I'm hoping to get a call from UPS though. That would be ideal.

Good luck! I had a friend who worked at Toys R Us and told me the funnest thing he did was ride all the little bikes when he had to unload them and move them around, sounds fun.

I can't wait. Even if it is only ten hours a week. I have another job as a pizza delivery driver all lined up as well. Two awesome jobs.

you think they would hire him based solely on the fact that people would go just to ask him about star wars/ mark hamil

Confidence. Walk in like you own the place because you will, but don't be so cocky it's over-bearing. People can tell when your an ass. I always actually try to be a little nervous. If they ask you about stuff, reply with themes of hardocre songs, it worked for me. lol
