Went to this show last night in Springfield VA and it was a good time, I liked the show more then I thought I would, all the bands put on decent performances. Its an odd lineup for a tour but it really works well together, but I mainly went for Cruel Hand because they never disappoint.
I saw Unholy and they were ok, nothing special but were not terrible, they had their moments.
Cruel Hand was a lot of fun, they got the crowd moving and played a fun set, you can always tell they have a good time playing. They play straight forward hardcore and they are really good at it, one of the better hardcore bands around right now. Here is their set (good to see they played one old song):
Above and Below
Dead Weight
Life In Shambles
Hounds
Under The Ice
Wisdom Pain
Motions That Lie
Damaged Goods
House Arrest
Prying Eyes
Begin Descension
I have never been a huge fan of Evergreen Terrace, but they know how to bring it live, they played the songs that I wanted to hear and I was really impressed by them, one of the few metalcore bands that are still worth seeing. Due to the accident with their drummer they were using the drummer from Casey Jones, they also had a fill in on base (a guy from stretch armstrong). Im missing a few songs but here is what I remember from their set:
Dogfight
No Donnie These Men Are Nihilists
Enemy Sex (new song)
New Friend Request
Mad World
Chaney Can't Quite Riff
Wolf Biker
Acacia Strain were ok too, haven't really changed much over the years, they still get the crowd going though. Not into them as much anymore but they were still fun to watch and fairly entertaining. They had a fill in guitarist cause there other one is having a baby and didn't go on tour. Wish they played 3750 but they didn't other then that though their set is basically the same has it has been for the past year, I think Im missing one or two but they did play a short set:
Whoah! Shut It Down
Dr. Doom
Angry Mob Justice
Skynet
4X4
JFC
Carbomb
